Beautiful place nestled in the Tuscan hills, awesome!
Wow, what a place... super cozy, nestled in the mountains, super private, spectacular views, with everything you need close by, and Florence just 20 minutes away.

From start to finish our stay at Stefania’s property was excellent. It was a relaxing and beautiful countryside getaway that we used to unwind between day trips to local and regional cities. We would stay again should we return to the area. Stefania was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and our time at her property was a great way to kick off our visit to Italy
Our time at the property was excellent! The house was very clean and comfortable for a family, we were able to shop and cook and relax. The pool was lovely and the garden was so peaceful. Plenty of parking and a great location for visiting many Tuscan sites. The host was very kind and helpful we will be coming back!

The property is nestled in the Tuscan hills and is surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty. We saw wild deer and wild boar!
The host is on site to help with any problems, and was so helpful and kind.
The area is a great jumping off location for visits to Florence and other local towns.
Overall, this is a beautiful place to stay. Peaceful and relaxing.
Thank you Stefania for a wonderful holiday.
Comfortable and attractive house in lovely countryside setting. Welcoming bi-lingual owner. Living room and kitchen would benefit from better lighting and swimming pool decking needs some attention. Both minor issues for us.

Nice week in the Chianti region
Great week in the very beautiful Chianti region in a lovely property ideally located near Florence with a swimming pool and views on the valley.
Stefania was available and helpful. The house is nicely decorated but suited for 4 people and lacking lights in the common area. The property can be difficult to access with a small car, will recommend a SUV.
Nice week overall !

Hi
I am sorry you find the house suitable for four people!!
In general, for the price you payed, you can have a place half of the size of il Capriolo, with only one bathroom, a little kichinette and no laundry , and two small bedrooms .
No one of my guest, in 8 years , complain about the size of the house…
Hope next time you can find something better!
Definitely off the beaten path, quiet and relaxing
Stefania was very welcoming and the property is very beautiful. Nice views and the pool is worth the stay alone. As others have mentioned the master suite bed is a bit tired. The villa is in the country side and I would definitely recommend and SUV to reach the property. There are two small villages on either side of the mountain and you are roughly an 1hr 10 mins from Siena. There is a moka pot available but having an nespresso machine would be a nice touch.

I am sorry you find the master bed not as you aspected!!
We had a great attention on those details and we use always top quality equipment
About the espesso machine there are few reasons
First we are in Italy the place of Bialetti coffe machine and for us it is the best to make a real good italian coffe
Second the capsules use for the espesso machine create a very bad pollution
They are not good for the Planet
Thanks to stay at il Cavato!!!
All the best

Our week-long stay was perfect in every way. The two-bedroom, two-bath apartment was comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. The good working kitchen allowed us to prepare breakfast each day and late lunches as the spirit moved us--and all were enjoyed al fresco, in a private dining area outside the apartment. We loved the remoteness and quietness of the property's location and we enjoyed all the outdoor amenities, including the swimming pool, the endless views of the Chianti hills, and the nightly visits of the family of five wild boars (totally entertaining and a bit scary). Our host, Stefania Barone, could not have been more helpful or pleasant. This is definitely a five-star (plus) accommodation, highly recommended.
This property is hundreds of years old but has been renovated to give modern amenities like good WiFi, nice kitchen and adequate bathrooms. Lots of outside space was ideal for relaxing at the end of the day. Stefania was always there to help with anything we needed. Just be sure to rent a car with good ground clearance because the last 1/2 km to the home is rough. We loved being in the quiet of the country.

We Had a wonderful stay! Stayed for 2 weeks. Close by car to Florence an close to Pisa and just 3,5 hour ride to Elba! And it is close to several nice wineyards..😍
Nice pool and typical Toscana house, of Stone.
The masterbedroom bed a little tired, but everyone sleept Good anyway.
Nice little village on both sides of the house.
The owner is a fantastic Woman who Helges us with all What we needed! 🙏
Could be a little hard to find the house if, as it did for us, the internet stop working 3 mins before we should find the house. Take a photo of the map before You Are lost. 😅
Enjoy!
We have had a wonderful time at Stefanias place. She was a great host besides being an incredible interesting person. From the pool you have a beautiful view over flower fields and Florence. What I enjoyed the most was the scent of Jasmin, Rosemary and lavender everywhere on the property. Thank you Stefania for having us. We surly want to come back.

About the host
Hosted by Stefania Barone
I am a retired architect, I love traveling and getting to know different places and people. I live between Italy and Australia trying to stop in places of transit ... India, Malaysia, Bali, Puket, South Africa, Tanzania, Zanzibar and many more' I am the mother of three grown sons and grandmother of two beautiful girls, I love making jams with the fruits of my garden. I am jealous of my roses, beautiful in spring. I love animals
Why they chose this property
I purchased this property due to its location .. Surrounded by nature, surrounded by oak woods and vineyards, with the view that runs along the valley until it reaches the lights of Florence and the Apennines mountains. A peaceful, serene place, where you can relax and enjoy the best the Chianti region can offer
What makes this property unique
Rural complex dating back to the twelfth century, several times remodeled up to the current configuration of the late '700 In the huge garden, medicinal herbs, rosemary, sage, lavender, and many more Ancient roses, jasmine, perfumes forgotten by those who live in the city .. And just a few kilometers from everything that I may need: Bank, medical center, post office, supermarket, bars, taverns, walks, art, museums, galleries, theaters .....
