Charming Lakefront home on Lake Chemung!

Welcome to our cottage on Lake Chemung --- Livingston county's largest lake! Our 3 bedroom home is the perfect getaway while not sacrificing the conveniences of everyday life.

The recently updated home is located in Sunrise Park, a quaint little subdivision on Lake Chemung. We have very easy access to I-96 expressway and are situated between Howell, MI and Brighton, MI. The home is minutes away from local shopping. We are only 10 minutes away from the Howell Tanger Outlets, a variety of golf courses and 45 minutes from downtown Detroit.

As a guest, you will have access to the full home. This includes usage of the dock and boat lift (5500 lbs, hydraulic). In the summer months, we use the property often and therefore keep our boats on the dock.

Also available is a 50A outlet for electric vehicle (EV) charging.

The community has various public areas with water access and a private boat launch available for guests.

Great home!

The home was great and offered everything we needed for a fun weekend away with family. The kids loved fishing off the docks and playing in the water. The lake was beautiful and very peaceful in the mornings. Great place! Will stay again.

Great Repeat Stay

Our family has stayed at this lake house a few times now and we all enjoy our time here very much. The kids could play on the beach all day. There are great nearby attractions like Tap-ins mini golf and Rollerama. We always pass a very relaxing time here.

Great times to be had here!

We had a marvelous stay! Your home offered all that we needed for an excellent "Mom-cation" while our boys attended hockey camp at University of Michigan. Beautiful view of the pristine clear lake, fun lake toys to borrow, quiet neighborhood, close to stores and restaurants, laundry, etc. We had a most relaxing time and look forward to doing it again next year!

Beautiful property and setting!

We had 8 wormen staying here and enjoyed cooking, socializing, fishing, grilling. AND swimming, even though it was a little cooler than we'd hoped. The only suggestion we might have is to add some lamps that could be used as reading lamps in the bedrooms and living room. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our time there!

The house and process we're both great!

My wife and I grew up in southeastern Michigan and currently reside in Southern California. We were here visiting family and friends for 7 days. We were traveling with our two teenage sons and they each brought a friend along. The house was great! Sleeps 8 comfortably, kayaks to use, kitchen has everything you need, Weber gas grill, fire pit on the beach, lake is clean and warm in July, we had a blast! Jozef and JR were easy to work with. Happy to come back and rent again!

Wonderful 2nd stay!

This property is so special. My family returned to stay here a second time after staying a couple summers ago. The sandy beach area was perfect for our two children ages 6 and 3 to spend endless hours playing on. I especially enjoyed relaxing on a lounge chair and watching the two majestic crane birds that frequented the property. There seemed to be lots of nature around to enjoy. My kids likes the bunnies. The street is quiet and it really does feel like you are up north. I'm pretty sure we will return again on a future trip. The beds are comfortable, the highway access is very convenient. The only reason I deducted a star is because 1 of the 2 toilets on the property had some problems but this didn't really impact our stay much. The owners respond promptly in all communications.

Comfortable lake house

Overall excellent stay. The house was very clean and well stocked. Kayaks are available for use. The owner was very helpful and responded within minutes to every question. He recommended the State Side Deli where we got lunch one day - really good!

Little slice of heaven

This cottage was perfect for our family vacation. Our small children loved playing on the sandy beach with the beach toys and the bunk beds. The lake water is clear. My husband enjoyed the kayaks and swimming platform. I enjoyed relaxing by the lake. The cottage itself has a modern kitchen, large comfortable beds and superb lighting. The neighborhood is charming and the view of the sunrise over the lake from the cottage is great. The hosts are responsive and accommodating. 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again. The house also has a 220v outlet for EV charging, which was a big plus for us.

We have been lifelong Michiganders and enjoy the diverse seasons that Michigan has to offer. We purchased this property in 2010 with the intent to enjoy our summer at the lake (which we do at every opportunity possible). Since Michigan has so much to offer, we enjoy leaving the lake every once in a while and therefore like to share our home with visitors.

Why they chose this property

Our home was fully renovated! New kitchen with quartz countertops. All new flooring and beds. No details have been left out. Our cottage is a great for families and friends.
