About this property

Samphire Cottage (BS), Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk

A pretty former Victorian coastguard station with distant marsh views, Samphire Cottage is situated right in the centre of this popular fishing village and is within easy walking distance of two fabulous pubs/restaurants and the famous Fish Shed, where you can buy fresh fish which has literally been landed in the harbour a few hours before!

A good base any time of year, families or couples, you will love its close proximity to the coast path and to the sandy beaches at Brancaster, Titchwell, Holme and Wells-next-the Sea.

Located on the coast road, the property is cosy and well equipped. It is freshly styled, adorned with local photographs and conveniently furnished for a holiday by the sea. With an open-plan sitting/dining room, leading through to a practical modern kitchen and small hallway, leading to a family bathroom and stairs to the first floor, this little bolthole is a comfortable seaside retreat. Upstairs you will find three well-appointed bedrooms; one double bedroom with a window to the front providing partial, distant marsh and sea views; a single bedroom and a twin bedroom to the rear. A south-facing, landscaped and fully-enclosed rear garden with garden furniture is the perfect spot to catch the sun's rays after a busy day exploring.

In terms of where you to eat, you are well and truly spoilt … as you're in easy walking distance of the family-friendly Jolly Sailor's pub/restaurant (where you can also enjoy take-away pizza's); the renowned White Horse gastro pub/restaurant, with its stunning views over the marsh from its verandah and dining conservatory; and Deepdale Café where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast or lunch throughout the year.

Small but clean, comfortable and a real gem!
Lovely repeat stay at Samphire this Easter. The house is small but has everything you need and the garden provides a lovely space and if you catch one of the pink sunsets, you’re in luck! It’s the location of this cottage which is such a dream and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here

Cosy cottage
A lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the Staithe. Excellent facilities, although the mattresses in the twin bedroom could do with replacing.

Great for a family break!
The property is in a great location, close to pubs, shops and a cafe. It’s easy to join up with local walks along the coast and a short drive to larger towns and the beach. The property was very well equipped and had lots of information about what could be done in the area. All in all a great bolt hole to explore a beautiful area.
