In the heart of a family Beaujolais vineyard, this charming gîte with wonderful view of Brouilly, will satisfy you with its assets. From here, you can discover by car or by foot, the Beaujolais and Mâconnais vineyards with their beautiful rolling landscapes and its great appellations. If you want, you can taste different wines of our vineyard.
In addition, located 35 min from the centre of Lyon, it will allow you to easily discover the “Capitale des Gaules”, its Unesco wolrd heritage listed districts, etc.
You can also, in 50 min, arrive to Beaune, in the middle of the Bourguignon vineyard and visit its extraordinary hospices and in 1 h45 you are in Geneva.
You can easily access the gîte: 10 min from motorway A6, 7 min from Belleville’s train station with high-speed train connections Paris Mâcon-Loché and 45 min from the international airport of Lyon – Saint-Exupéry.

Une vue magnifique sur les monts du Beaujolais

2 petites semaines parfaites. Très confortable pour 8 personnes, alors nous qui n'étions que 5 au maximum! Très belle piscine où nous n'avons jamais vu les propriétaires. Visite du chais des proprietaires par Mr De La Poype lui même, trés sympathique. Vous pouvez faire le choix de vos vins préférés à la location; une cave a vin remplie vous attends... et il y en a d'excellents !!! Bref au top, nous recommandons vivement.

Traumhaft schön!

Ein traumhaft schönes Anwesen! Hier kann man sich wunderbar erholen: im schönen Haus mit der hervorragend eingerichteten Küche, am Pool mit der Aussicht über ein Meer von Weinbergen bis zum Mont Brouilly und mit schönen Spaziergängen durch die Natur. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Wir, zwei Familien aus der Schweiz, haben hier zwei wunderschöne Wochen verbracht. Une propriété de rêve ! On peut s'y reposer merveilleusement : dans la belle maison avec sa cuisine remarquablement bien équipée, au bord de la piscine avec la vue sur une mer de vignobles jusqu'au Mont Brouilly et avec de belles promenades dans la nature. Nous n'avons manqué de rien, les hôtes sont très aimables et toujours prêts à nous aider. Nous, deux familles de Suisse, avons passé ici deux semaines magnifiques.

A paradise at harvest time

This home was a little bit of paradise, and suited us perfectly: one bedroom on the first floor, and three more, each with their own bathroom, on the second. It had the best-stocked kitchen of any home we've rented, with a large kitchen table that became a center of activity, and a very comfortable living room. Also, a private outdoor space for dining and the occasional game of petanque (balls provided). The peacefulness of the site, and the views, were incomparable. The property is amidst vineyards of Beaujolais (mostly Brouilly as I recall). Our contact was very responsive to any requests. We recommend this wonderful property with no reservations. It is very suitable for handicapped persons.

Mitten im Beaujolais

Wir haben das Haus, den Pool und die Umgebung sehr genossen. Vom Haus aus kann man wunderbar durch die Weinberge laufen, im kleinen Ort Charentay alles für den täglichen Bedarf kaufen und in Belleville sind Supermärkte. Der Comte de la Poype ist ein sehr freundlicher und entgegenkommender Vermieter. Wir kommen gerne irgendwann wieder.

Nous étions 5 messieurs qui depuis 15 ans passons des séjours entre amis. Le gîte de Charentay est de loin la meilleure prestation que nous ayons eu. Mr et Mme de La Poype nous ont gentiment reçu, malgré les vendanges qui étaient en cours. Un grand remerciement aussi à Eole, le chien qui venait nous saluer matin midi et soir. Lovely site for a family vacation

This was a wonderful place to stay for a family holiday - lots of hikes in the nearby vineyards, and wineries/historic villages to visit, and pool to enjoy the sun. The photos don't do the interior of the home justice - the home is beautifully finished and furbished. The upstairs has three bedrooms with adjacent bathrooms, the downstairs has a kitchen, living room, bedroom and separate bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements, there is an outdoor barbecue and dining space. The kitchen includes a wine fridge with wines from the owner's vineyards at very attractive We were extremely comfortable here and would highly recommend it.

Gite de Monternot #1593 commune de Charentay Nous avons passés une excellente semaine dans ce gîte. Les propriétaires, M et Mme Philippe de la Poype ont été très accueillants et ont fait tout possible pour s'assurer que notre séjour se passe bien. Le gîte est très moderne, très propre, et très confortable. Nous y retournerons sans hésitation si l'occasion se présente! Je recommande ce gîte à tout qui cherche un endroit reposant, une vue fantastique, et un gîte confortable. Nous étions 6 adultes et un enfant de 5 ans et tous gardent de très bons souvenirs du séjour à Monternot. L'endroit est parfait et les propriétaires prêts à satisfaire le locataire. Nadine

Un trés agréable séjour en Beaujolais.

Un merveilleux Noel 2013 et Jour de l'an 2014! Belles soirées en famille devant la cheminée et le sapin de Noel décoré à notre intention. Fenètres sur la campagne paisible du vignoble et des monts.Découverte d'une belle région. Charme et confort moderne du gite. Merci à nos propriétaires à la fois discrets et attentionnés.

Great Stay

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderfull house. The house as such is great, all modern comfort is available with 4 spacious rooms with bathroom. The set up of the house is great with a lot of taste. The location of the house in the middle of the vineyarts is exceptonal, as well as the peace a quite surrounding. The owners are always ready to help and you can feel you are welcome, but you have a perfect privacy. We will for sure come back !
