About this property

Stunning 4 bedroom mas in the Luberon

We look forward to welcoming you to our home, located next to one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. The fabulous art deco house boasts four large double bedrooms (all air-conditioned), a library, lounge/dining room, kitchen, three bathrooms and an additional toilet. It sleeps up to 10 people. It has pretty art deco features including ceramic tiled floors on the upper floor, as well as some traditional Provencal features such as stone walls in the lounge.

It is located only 5 minutes’ drive or 15 minutes’ walk from the beautiful village of Menerbes, which has a number of shops and restaurants. The beautiful villages of Gordes, Goult, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Roussillon and Oppede are all within 15-20 minutes’ drive. Other attractions such as Fontaine de Vaucluse and Isle sur la Sorgue (with its famous antique shops) are within 30 minutes, with Avignon at 40-50 minutes. If you like wine, we are within easy walking distance of two vineyard shops in AOC Luberon, and also the famous(!) corkscrew museum at Domaine de la Citadelle. The Cotes du Rhone vineyards are within 40 minutes’ drive.

For getting there, we are brilliantly placed for planes and trains, being only an hour’s drive from Marseille airport, 40 minutes’ drive from Avignon airport or 50 minutes from Avignon TGV.

We are only 5-10 minutes’ drive from the nearest supermarket at Coustellet, which also hosts an excellent Farmers’ market on Sunday mornings and, in the Summer, Wednesday afternoons as well.

The house has its own large garden, fruit orchard, private above-ground swimming pool (May-September), and is surrounded on all sides by vineyards. For cycling enthusiasts (or indeed armchair cyclists) it has a lovely view of Mont Ventoux and is close to the Véloroute du Calavon.

Bon séjour dans cette région magnifique!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre amis dans cette maison entourée de vignes donnant d'excellents vins! La climatisation et la piscine ont été appréciées en cette semaine chaude, ainsi que la sortie Kayak sur la Sorgue (bien fraiche :-)). Maison très bien située : à proximité des beaux villages, du colorado provençal, des vignobles, ... A retenir aussi le marché agricole de Velleron ou l'on peut s'approvisionner en fruits et légumes directement auprès des producteurs: c'est bon et pas cher! Merci à Roman pour son accueil!

Les photos n’indiquent pas qu’une route très passante se trouve devant la maison et gâche le silence qu’on pouvait attendre en regardant les photos. La cinquième chambre est traversante et donc pas d’intimité. Le portail électrique fait ce qu’il veut et l’arrêtait au sol à enlever le pot d’échappement du véhicule de mon fils…sans que le propriétaire ne fasse un geste vu les désagréments ; il y a beaucoup de place et l’endroit est agréable malgré tout. Nous n’y retournerons pas pour autant.

Je suis désolé pour les dommages causés à la voiture et je me suis excusé auprès du client bien qu'il ne l'ait pas mentionné ici. Nous avons séjourné à la maison dans les semaines qui ont précédé le critique, comme d'autres clients, et nous n'avons eu aucun problème avec la porte. Depuis, nous avons effectué des réparations sur l'unité saillante qui a endommagé le véhicule. Nous sommes très clairs dans l'annonce qu'il y a quatre chambres dans la propriété, pas cinq. La « cinquième chambre » est la bibliothèque et un espace supplémentaire pour un canapé-lit. Je suis désolé que le client a trouvé la route "très fréquentée" mais nous restons régulièrement à la maison et ne trouvons pas que ce soit le cas. Nous le trouvons calme et reposant. La plupart des clients qui y ont séjourné semblent d'accord.

Entre cigales et vignes

Parfait séjour à Menerbes avec des petits enfants. Maison fraîche et agréable. De la place, de grandes chambres, bien équipé. Petit bémol pour une des sdb qui dégage des odeurs fortes, dommage. La tv n'offre que des chaînes anglaises et le wifi pendant notre séjour était hs mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé. On a passé une semaine déconnectée au calme. Il y a de l espace pour que les enfants jouent en toute sécurité. La piscine est parfaite pour se rafraîchir , de nombreux jeux pour l'extérieur. Le gestionnaire nous a trouvé une chaise bébé supplémentaire très rapidement, merci pour sa réactivité. Nous y retournerons volontiers.

L’annonce tardive du dysfonctionnement de la TV et Internet empêche le titre « excellent « . Il en va de même pour le congélateur du frigidaire trop restreint. Sinon, les chambres avec climatisation étaient parfaites, l’électroménager de grande qualité....La table de la cuisine est un peu exiguë pour préparer pour dix personnes... Pl FRECON

Nous sommes désolés. Malheureusement, nous n'avons pas pu faire vérifier la TV à cause de Covid. Elle a été réparée. Alors que la table de la cuisine est petite, la table du salon peut facilement accueillir 10-12 personnes lorsqu'elle est étendue. Merci pour votre avis.

Magnifique mas bien placé dans cette belle région du Luberon

Le mas est très spacieux et lumineux, il a été superbement rénové. Nous étions 10 dont 6 enfants et adolescents (4 à 18 ans). Tout le monde a pu choisir sa chambre, rose, bleue… Le mas est très bien équipée pour faire la cuisine pour 10. Le jardin permet de faire plusieurs activités en même temps, badmington, piscine et pétanque… Chacun a pu trouvé sa place et son rythme, et le séjour a donc été agréable pour tous. En plus des visites dans les villages alentours qui sont très attrayants, une petite dégustation au domaine de la Citadelle, juste en face… Par ailleurs, atout supplémentaire, le gérant est très accueillant et reste à l'écoute en cas de besoin, je le remercie très chaleureusement. Enfin, merci aux propriétaires pour avoir maintenu un rapport qualité/prix très intéressant. Je recommande cette location si on me laisse la deuxieme semaine d'aout l'année prochaine puis les suivantes… Sylvie

Traumhaft und wunderschön!

Wir reisten sehr kurzfristig mit 9 Personen an und haben uns sofort verliebt! Das Haus und das Grundstück sind sehr großzügig und wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in Ménerbes. Alle Räume waren wie auf den Bildern sehr groß und das Haus war sehr sauber. Auch der Garten ist sehr groß und es sind ausreichend Sonnenliegen vorhanden. Wir vermissten nichts in unserem Urlaub. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Roman ( unser Ansprechpartner vor Ort ). Bereits bei der Ankunft war er sehr hilfsbereit. Er war zu jederzeit für uns erreichbar und die Kommunikation war hervorragend. Merci beaucoup!!!! Wir sind sehr neugierig, wie sich das Grundstück in der Zukunft entwickeln wird und würden sehr gern wiederkommen. Liebe Grüße Andrea

Why they chose this property

We spent many years holidaying in the South of France but fell in love with this area. The light is beautiful and the countryside is very pretty; there is lots to do and see in the surrounding areas, yet where we live it is quiet and peaceful.

Provence is beautiful throughout the year. In the Spring it is the cherry trees, poppies and birds; in the Summer the lavender and Summer plants; in the Autumn the reddening vine leaves. In the winter there could be snow on the ground one morning but it might be warm enough to sit outside for lunch the next day.

When we found the house we immediately fell in love with it. Many new houses in the area have small and featureless rooms. All of the rooms in our house are big and light and we love the ceramic tiles on the floors which add character.

There was lots to do. The House had not been lived in for over 10 years and the garden was completely overgrown. There was a bush growing in what is now the ensuite bathroom!

It took us nearly four years to re-furbish the house but we feel it's now a lovely home. We've stayed in gites a lot over the past 5-10 years and had clear views as to what was important. We've made sure that there is plenty of storage in each room, that there is lots of kitchen equipment, that there is air conditioning in the bedrooms and Wifi. We've included a library as a place to chill out if you want to.

We hope that you will come and stay in our home from home, and we hope that you will enjoy yourselves.

What makes this property unique

As soon as people come into the garden they always comment on the beautiful view of Mont Ventoux; it really is fantastic. It's a great weather vane as well! If the weather is changing you can see the clouds starting to build around the peak and you can know that they'll be with you soon!

The position of the house is also brilliant. Marseille, the Coast, Avignon and Haut Provence are all within easy driving distance. Menerbes is a short walk and 5 other beautiful villages are within a 10-15 minute drive.
