Quinta Bamboa

Quinta Bemboa is an oasis. The fruits and herbs including apples, limes, cherries and the entire herb garden was amazing. Jorge and Claudia encouraged us to pick our own. The property is secluded offering spectacular views of the valley on hiking trails all in a peaceful and tranquil setting. We were a group of 8 adults and the house offered every couple it’s own comfortable ensuite bedroom. The common living areas were as large and well appointed as you can imagine including the kitchen which we used every day. Our hostess and host, Claudia and Jorge, were fantastic hosts ensuring our stay was completely satisfied and extremely responsive when necessary. They gave us first rate recommendations for things to do. The restaurant they recommended was the best in town and the winery was high quality. This booking was a 5 star all around.

Great views and quiet location

We had a wonderful weeks holiday at Quinta Bemboa with my husbands family - several generations (parents/siblings and nephew). We had plenty of space to spread out and what a bonus to have 5 ensuite rooms. Plenty of areas to hang out together and apart as needed with a wonderful pool area for sunbathing and relaxing. We really enjoyed the views most of all - particularly at sunset. Also enjoyed walking around the orchard and vineyards with marked trails around the property. It is only a short drive to the local intermarche as well as the town of Armamar - which has quite a few local eateries. We did enjoy the slightly longer drives to the Douro river area itself (25mins) to enjoy the wineries and beautiful vistas along there. Note you def need a car though if staying at this villa as the area is quite hilly and not necessarily catering to pedestrians. Surrounded by quite a lot of agricultural land which is pretty but also a little industrial zone - which other than driving through it you wouldn’t notice - once one goes through the Quinta gates its a little oasis of calm. Note there are some wind turbines and electrical pylons behind the property but honestly had no impact on the enjoyment of the space as all one focuses on is the landscape in front and that is stunning. Hosts were responsive and friendly - always helpful. Good time had by all.

A casa é muito muito gira e bem equipada. Muito confortável. A vista da piscina proporciona um dos melhores Sunset da região. Os donos são muito acessíveis e simpáticos.

Quinta é mesmo BemBoa

Esta quinta no Douro vinhateiro é o sitio ideal para uns dias de descanso com amigos ou família, o anuncio não faz justiça à propriedade. Os proprietários são simpáticos e prestáveis e a casa tem tudo de bom. Recomendo vivamente e voltarei na altura em que as árvores estivem em flor pois certamente será uma paisagem ainda mais bela.
