No 18 is an idyllic house to relax and unwind at The Bay. A ‘one off’ design located towards the top of the site with a generous open plan living area and well equipped kitchen on the first floor, taking advantage of the far reaching views over the headlands towards Talland Bay. The large roof terrace opens out from the living area and is equipped with a gas barbecue perfect for Alfresco dining, or simply relaxing in the sun whilst taking in the surrounding views. The bedrooms are comfortably located on the ground floor with doors opening from the King bedroom en suite and hallway out to the private courtyard with sunken hot tub and further seating area.

The house is designed to offer every home comfort, with a contemporary feel that sits in harmony with its origin. A comfortable large L shape sofa is ideal for entertaining and watching the sunset from, as well as providing the perfect space to relax on after a long day at the beach. Each room is tastefully decorated and exudes colour with interest from local artwork. The property has everything you need including a large flat screen TV, DVD, Wii games console, WiFi, wireless music speakers, a good range of children’s toys for both indoor and outdoor play as well as kites, buckets and spades, body boards etc for those trips to the beach just a short walk away. Or simply soak up the atmosphere in the sunken hot tub and relax, a great start to any holiday!

(Please note there is an additional charge of £200.00 per week for the hot tub)

The property was lovely and location was great, unfortunately there was a couple of issues on arrival. As soon as we open the door of the property there was a strong foul smell coming from the kitchen which we reported straight away. They tried to resolve the issue by cleaning the sink waste pipe and pouring disinfectant down but that was no good. They called a plumber out who arrived the following day who informed us the smell was coming from the waste area not been sealed properly. We ended up buying plug in air fresheners but not been able to prepare food or cook. The other issue the hot tub was not checked before we came and the level of chlorine was very low and we were unable to use the hot tub.

Hi Kevin, many thanks for taking the time to review and we appreciate you staying with us at The Bay Talland. As you mentioned we reacted very quickly to the reported problem involving our own team and external plumber. We also explained to you about the on site sewerage system which is different form a normal community system due to our unique remote coastal location. We are very sorry our actions did not rectify the problem, but equally you appeared content with the actions we took. Finally in terms of the hot tub, guests check out at 9am and we there empty, clean and re-fill all the hot tub's ready for guests. We can only assume tested it prior to us returning to dose the hot tub with chlorine. We have documented records stating your tub was dosed to the required level and then kept within the appropriate levels for the duration of your stay. Also if you felt there was not enough chlorine, a simple call to reception would have resolved the matter. We are sorry we didn't meet your expectations but I can assure you we did everything we could to make your stay an enjoyable one.
