Gorgeous view in Calpe

The villa had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The pool, the view, all the terraces, made our stay a perfect vacation. You need a car to be able to do your shopping and go to the beach. But you can also buy all the provisions needed and enjoy the pool. Very quiet neighbourhood.

Enjoyed our stay however some issues - no outside lighting/no parasol/pool not cleaned

Overall we did enjoy your stay in Calpe and the villa (amazing views) however there were a few issues . On arrival ( at night) there were no outside lights working in the villa, therefore we had to manage the 60 steps to the front door with 6 suitcases in the dark. This also meant it was dangerous going in and out for the next 2 nights and the children could not use the pool in the dark for an evening swim. 3 days into the holiday an electrician was sent, he did manage to fix a few of the lights but not all, so not ideal. The bed linen was not very clean (stains / hairs). The pool had not been cleaned on our arrival, there were lots of wasps/bugs on the bottom of the pool in the shallow end. We reported this on the Sunday morning, the office said the pool cleaner would be out on Tuesday ! On Tuesday the bugs were all still there so we asked if he had been and were told yes. I said he had not cleaned the pool because the wasps/bugs were all still in the pool. Pool cleaner came back that evening and scooped them out. He then left the key in our gate which we did not discover until later that evening - meaning anyone could have come in. The parasol on the sun bathing area was broken. We reported this on the Sunday too - it was so hot we needed some shade! I chased this a few times and 4 days later we got a replacement ! Also the outside oven did not work, we assume the gas was empty. We reported this but nothing was done and could not use it. I think the description of the area needs to be much clearer on the website too, just how remote it is and the steepness of the hills (most people could not walk up these to the villa from the local restaurant). Also the number of steps at the entrance of the villa to the door (60). We arrived Saturday evening and there was nothing close by to get water/essentials. I am very surprised there is no local convenience shop for the villa residents to get water/milk/bread? It may be helpful for guests arriving at night to be offered an essentials package (at an extra cost obviously) so there is water, milk/some essentials in the villa on arrival until they can do the taxi journey to a supermarket. I think more care should be taken to ensure everything is ready for quests arriving - and that everything is clean and works as it should.

Hello Alison, with regard to check in the schedule is from 16 to 19 hs and because your flight arrived very late we have made an exception and effort so that you could pick up your keys in a mailbox with all the instructions so that you could get to the place and be able to rest, if your entry had been in the corresponding schedule a person would have accompanied you to the place. With regard to the cleaning of both the facilities and the linen, they were in perfect condition as this task had been carried out hours before by our professional cleaning company. The pool is cleaned by the poolman before your entry and halfway through your stay, when you informed us that there were wasps in the pool (normal in a natural environment) our staff went to the site and found that there were two wasps in the water. There is a mechanised pergola on site to provide or remove shade but we still brought an additional umbrella as requested. In the descriptions it is duly clarified that there is quite a lot of stairs and where the villa is located. It is an area to enjoy tranquillity and nature, obviously not the profile of property you were looking for. However, the nearest beach is 3 minutes away and bars, supermarket, chemist, health centre 5 minutes drive. Regarding the welcome pack we do not offer this service as it is not advertised in the publication. Also forgot to comment that one day at 4pm he called our office to tell us that he was very scared because he heard noises in the house next door and we went quickly, finding that the neighbour was doing some small repairs in his house. Therefore we have come and solved every one of his needs throughout his stay. Thank you very much for your visit, Regards

Im ganzen Haus hatten wir Ameisen,weshalb wir auch viele Lebensmittel wegwerfen mussten. Diese waren sogar im Schlafzimmer. Wir mussten deshalb im Wohnzimmer schlafen,weil das Schlafzimmer voll mit Ameisen war.In dem kleinen Bad ging das Schloss nicht und das Wasser in der Dusche läuft nicht ab.Am Pool gingen keine lichter. Am Treppenaufgang gingen auch keine lichter, was abends sehr gefährlich ist.Der Kühlschrank kühlt nicht richtig.Wie mussten uns alles kaufen, da nicht mal Klopapier, spülmittel oder ein Lappen vor Ort war. Es gab auch keinen Besen.Und es wäre schön gewesen vorher zu wissen wo sie Haustür ist, da wir diese zuerst mal suchen mussten.Es waren auch zu wenig Gläser und tassen da und das Geschirr war generell nicht sauber.Und die einzelbetten sind sehr schlecht. Bei jeder Bewegung quietscht es sodass man nie ruhig schlafen kann.

Nice villa with amazing view

Villa is as described and the view is just amazing. Please note that there is a lot of stairs because of the hight difference and you will need a car when renting this place.

Heerlijk vakantiehuis

We hebben in dit huis een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Het is een comfortabel huis waarin niets ontbreekt. Natuurlijk het privé zwembad was super met ligbedden erbij. De buitenkeuken met bbq en terras werd door ons regelmatig gebruikt. Ook binnen in het huis was alles aanwezig en doordat we een kind van 1 jaar bij ons hadden werd de wasmachine regelmatig gebruikt. Kortom een heerlijke plek om je vakantie te vieren al moet je wel goed ter been zijn ivm de vele trappen welke je moet beklimmen om in en rondom het huis te vertoeven.
