Beautiful stone house villa in Milina, quiet location, close to the seafront!

Welcome to the beauty of Milina, steeped in mythology and saturated with vegetation and plant life. Amongst the tall canopy of trees you will find our traditional stone house built totally from granite over 300 years ago, restored and recently re-enforced. Situated in wooded landscape and surrounded by secluded gardens, this beautiful house is only 600 m from Milina seafront. There is a special pathway up the mountain nearby that takes you to a nearby historic village of Lafkos, the walk provides panoramic views of the mountains and sea and is truly breathtaking.

The house comes fully furnished, including period reproduction furniture and old-worldly features featured throughout the house. There is a lovely shaded stone patio at the front of the house.

The house offers 2 double bedrooms: one bedroom with a double bed, the other bedroom has two single beds. Maybe possible to accommodate for a larger families please ask for more information regarding this. Both rooms come equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Bathroom upstairs with bath and toilet, and there is also a toilet downstairs.

Fully equipped kitchen, dining area, washing machine, lounge with sofas and TV, free Wi-Fi.

The house has its own drive with a 4 car capacity , shaded by huge plane trees and fenced all round. The large gardens are planted with fruit trees, flowering shrubs and flower beds.

Peak period: July & August, price is 80 euro per night. 560 euro per week.
Off-peak period: September - June, price is 70 euros per night (Sep, Jun )and goes as low as 40 euros from Oct - Apr 280 euros per week. May 60 euros per night.

Wonderful stone house in the garden

Wonderful stone house with a beautigul garden. You'll find everything you need since house is well equipped. Clean bedclothes and towels. Air conditionnig and wifi working vey well. House and garden gives you shade to rest after a day on the beach. The parking space with a gate on the property. 10-15 minutes walking to the seaside with beaches, shops and restaurants. Owners are extremly friendly and helpful.And Pelion is so beautiful place. This was one of the best holidays ever

Una bellissima casa antica in pietra, ristrutturata in stile country e dotata di tutto il necessario, compresa aria condizionata nelle camere.Un bel giardino ombreggiato a completare un quadro per un vero relax. Il tutto a soli 700 MT dalla spiaggia e dal lungomare di Milina.Alexander, l'host della casa, un vero gentiluomo, disponibile e premuroso.Consigliatissimo.

Not at all what the description promissed!

Die Beschreibung der Lage des Hauses und die Karte auf der Fewo-Homepage sind schlichtweg falsch und irreführend! Wir haben dies dem Eigentümer bei unserer Ankunft gesagt. Der meinte, dies sei Sache des Vermittlungsbüros. Wir haben deshalb unmittelbar danach auch versucht die Support-Telefonnummer von Fewo/VRBO anzurufen, aber es hat sich einfach niemand gemeldet! Wir sind erst seit ein paar Tagen wieder zuhause. Sollte ich wieder keine Antowort auf diese Meldung erhalten, werde ich den Fall meiner Reise-Rechtschutzversicherung übergegen. Hier noch der Text den ich dem Eigentümer am 15.9. via Fewo-Homepage zugesendet habe ohne eine Antwort erhalten zu haben: Dear Alex, as you know already, the house is realy not place we expected. The advertisement on the homepage at fewo-direct.de says:"Schöne Steinhausvilla in Milina, ruhige Lage, direkt am Meer!". As you know the house is not at all near the sea but half a kilometer in back country, hidden in a valey in a small forrest. That's why we decided to leave and went on to search a place that pleased us more. It would be generouse and fair if you return us the money. And it would be helpful for future guests if you would modify the describing text accordingly. Thank you in advance, David & Marianne Rolli

Wunderschönes ortstypisches Häuschen

Unsere Auswahl orientierte sich an einem Steinhaus wie es dort im Pilio typisch ist. Wir waren sehr begeistert. Das Haus und der Garten waren gepflegt, der Vermieter sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir werden nächstes Jahr wieder dort Ferien machen.

Great place to wind down

We first visited Alex's stone house in spring 2019 for a walking holiday. This return visit was to experience warmer weather and warmer sea. It was pleasant to walk early in the day, really too hot from late morning and generally very warm in the late afternoon. The sea was 25+ and air warm. My previous (2019) comments describe our unchanged impression of the property.

Great base for a relaxed break

We stayed at Alex's house in late March 2019. We are two mature couples who enjoy walking and the Pilion's many footpaths attracted us to the area. Milina appeared to be a suitable base for the peninsula's central/ southern region and Alex's house was one of very few I could find with both two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is set back about 7/10 minutes walk from the sea-front, in a peaceful location backed by mountains and with a stream running close by. There are lemon and orange trees in the garden which were in fruit when we were there: freshly squeezed orange juice every morning will be a lasting memory. Alex met us on arrival and explained the workings of the house. He was always available to assist with any issues and is an exemplary owner. We really appreciated the (included) heating, both up and down stairs, not only in the cool evenings but also the early mornings. The kitchen is well equipped with equipment and consumables. The lounge has comfortable seating for four. The downstairs wc has a washing machine. The bedrooms are spacious and with adequate storage, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom has a corner bath with shower. There is parking for a number of cars and outdoor table and chairs. Close to the sea front is a bakery and a small supermarket. (We stocked up at a large international supermarket in Agria, on our way to Milina from Volos on arrival.) Sunsets from the sea front are spectacular. All in all an ideal base for our purposes and we hope to return another year, probably in the autumn so we can appreciate the warmer sea. PS If you enjoy walking, a local group Friends of the Kalderimi have an excellent F/B page with links to details of walks. They walk each Sunday outside of the really hot months.

Pretty old house, well restored

The house is large enough for four people. As it is old, the house is quite dark on the ground floor, but fresh on the other hand. Very pleasant rooms with air conditioning or a pleasant draught (mosquito nets in all windows). Very beautiful and pleasant garden (but many mosquitoes), under very beautiful trees. There is a fresh water source right next door. Very quiet environment (some dogs bark a lot). Well located: you can walk to the village and the beach. Milina is very pleasant, and Pelion is very beautiful and wild. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. It makes an excellent olive oil!
