LOCATION, LOCATION! This spacious New England summer cottage is situated across from Padanaram Harbor with picturesque views. Watch the sailboats glide into the harbor or have a glass of wine watching the amazing sunsets on our two decks. We are located in a heart of the village. A minute walk to restaurants including our wonderful Farm and Coast Market/Restaurant. Stroll the village and enjoy the shopping or maybe it's a Spa or Yoga your looking for. This home-away-from-home has spectacular views from all the rooms the living room and dining room with sliders to a deck this is a perfect place to enjoy your meals alfresco! If you prefer to enjoy your own home cooked meal there is a fully equipped kitchen. Second floor offers 4 bedrooms-two of the rooms have queen size beds the other two have 2 twin beds. High count sheets in all bedrooms. There are 2 full bathrooms. The house has been newly furnished with with a tasteful COASTAL flare! *******Round Hill beach is our beautiful town beach that is about 3 miles going over the bridge. If you are interested in a Round Hill beach pass please go to https://www.town.dartmouth.ma.us/ and go to the bottom of the page and click on apply for Permits and fill in the information along with your registration and the lease agreement (for the lease agreement contact VRBO and ask them to direct you to get this information from the VRBO website). Please do this a weeks before the check in day. We have kayaks in the basement which you're welcome to use and lunch across the street . The house has parking for 3 average size cars and off street parking without parking pass needed.

Family celebration

The house on Bridge street was a perfect location for celebrating a special family birthday. Visitors were from the West so the location across from the dock and the water was a special treat House was so comfortable for this extended visit. Location was perfect.

Hidden Gem

First time in Padanaram Village. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the town and the area overall. The house recently updated and nicely decorated. The yard good sized and nicely landscaped. Love that we can walk to food, dining, shops and harbor. We went to Round Hill beach several times. One of the nicest and cleanest beach I’ve been to in Massachusetts. We would come back.

Padanarum cottage

This was our first VRBO experience. It greatly exceeded all expectations!! The house is beautiful. Wonderful, amazing amenities. Communications with property manager was outstanding. Fun location & comfortable house

The house was well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed hearing the live music from next door and watching the world go by. Only caveat: the town has changed its procedures for getting a beach pass. It is in line and then mailed to you. So plan accordingly!

Sun, Fun and Relaxation

Great location for beaches, boating, good food, fun shopping, and an overall friendly vibe. The house itself has the relaxed feel of a beach abode. The sun shines on the front porch in the morning and on the side deck in the afternoon. You can prepare meals in an equipped kitchen or take advantage of a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the local eateries and restaurants all within walking distant. The harbor is right across the street so if you enjoy kayaking or paddle boarding it's easy to make that happen with a local rental or what the house provides. Our family of three generations had a wonderful time.

Beautiful home

Beautiful, clean, comfortable and well maintained home. Had everything we needed but if not, the owner was local and a phone call away. Great views. Walkable to coffee shops, ice cream, boutiques, grocery market. Round Hill Beach is beautiful and great for kids, and Apponagansett Park, just across the bridge, has a fantastic park for the kids. The home is situated on a corner right in the hub of Padanaram, which we knew from doing a street view, but we didn't anticipate how busy the road would be. Not a huge deal, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, there is quite a bit of road/motorcycle noise. There is a restaurant next door, within feet from the house, that plays live, outdoor music on Fri-Sun evenings. Not ideal for families with young kids. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay in the lovely village of Padanaram.

We also have a very similar cottage in Bayview, this is a beach community just over the bridge that is more private with a one minute walk to the beach. That VRBO number is # 2594894. Lovely cottage by the bay

Our stay at the Padanaram Cottage went above and beyond our expectations. The house was very well-equipped, decorated, and maintained for a relaxing vacation, and the host responded in a timely manner to any questions that we had. The cottage overlooks the beautiful Apponagansett Bay, and is situated in a very convenient location to visit tourist attractions nearby. Perfect Summer Vacation

As a family we couldn't have been happier with this fabulous vacation home on the harbor. We chose this property for the glorious sunsets, the in-town location near shops, restaurants, ice-cream, the beautiful beach, and the comfort of a rental that also feels like home. We never tired of the incredible view, the fun games available for the children, the comfortable beds and fine linens and the epic response from the owners. We can't wait to return!

Fabulous family gathering

We celebrated my parents 60th birthday with a getaway to a harbor we used to sail to. It was perfect for 8 people with 2 being teens (one bedroom is a twin with a trundle and is very small). Walking distance to some great restaurants (don't miss Little Moss) and cute shops. Beautiful sunsets. Nice common area space. Everything worked out wonderfully!

Why they chose this property

Padanaram, a charming village in, Massachusetts, lies along the Apponagansette River ( also called Padanaram Harbor). In 1652 it was purchased for Massasoit, chief of the Wampanoag tribe.
In the mid 18th century, Padanaram became a ship building center because of its fine harbor. This tradition continues today and the area boasts craftsmen who are experts in building and maintaining boats.
It was Laban Thatcher who gave the name Padanaram to the village. It was believed that he saw an analogy in his own life and fortunes to the biblical Laban, who dwelt in
Padan-Aram, the plain for Aram located in northwest Mesopotamia.
Now mostly residential, the village is also home to the New Bedford Yacht Club, which bi-annually host the Buzzards Bay Regatta. Additionally, the village hosts many other interesting businesses, restaurants, galleries, and specialty shops.
