About this property

The White House - a cottage that sleeps 9 guests in 4 bedrooms

Welcome to The White House, a bright and spacious dog-friendly holiday cottage on the White Sand development in Camber, near Rye.

With four bedrooms set over three floors, a sunny enclosed garden and a first-floor balcony, it’s a brilliant choice for larger families or friends who want space to spread out after sandy beach days.

Camber Sands is just a few minutes’ walk away, and Rye’s cobbled streets, pubs, shops and restaurants are only around 3 miles from your door.

Downstairs

Step inside and you’ll find a handy hallway with a downstairs cloakroom.

The ground floor is made for sociable seaside living, with a large dual-aspect kitchen-diner. It’s well equipped with everything you need for relaxed holiday meals, including:

Electric oven and hob
Fridge and freezer
Dishwasher
Washer/dryer
Microwave
Kettle and toaster
Coffee machine

The dining table seats 8, making it perfect for long breakfasts, seafood suppers or board games after a day on the beach.

French doors open straight out to the enclosed garden, where you’ll find outdoor table and chairs for sunny lunches, evening drinks or a quiet cuppa while the dogs potter about.

The fourth bedroom is also on the ground floor, with twin beds.

First Floor

The first floor is home to the lovely dual-aspect sitting room, a bright and comfortable space for relaxing together.

There are two sofas, a comfy armchair, coffee table, electric coal-effect fire, flat-screen TV, DVD player, YouView box and Wi-Fi.

French doors lead out onto a sunny south-facing balcony — just the spot for a glass of wine, a good book and a little peace and quiet.

Also on this floor is a bedroom with a double bed with French doors and a Juliet balcony.

Second Floor:

Up on the second floor, you’ll find the master bedroom, complete with a double bed and en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, WC and basin.

The third bedroom is also on this floor and has children’s bunk beds plus a pull-out single bed.

The family bathroom has a double-ended bath, shower, WC and hand basin — ideal for rinsing off sandy toes after a beach day.

Outside & Parking:

The White House has an enclosed garden with outdoor seating, perfect for al fresco meals and easy dog-friendly stays.

There is parking for one car on the drive, with free street parking available in front of the cottage.

Good to Know:

The White House takes its name from its pretty white weatherboards, but it could just as easily be called the “bright house”. It has a wonderfully light, sunny feel throughout — the kind of place that makes you feel on holiday the moment you arrive.

Dog-friendly, family-friendly and just a short stroll from Camber Sands, it’s a lovely base for beach days, Rye adventures and easy breaks beside the sea.

Things to note:

The White House is a bright three-storey seaside cottage sleeping up to 9 guests — best suited to 6 adults and 3 children.

With bedrooms spread across the floors and plenty of sociable space downstairs, it works beautifully for families or relaxed groups of friends looking for an easy beach break.

Please note, the cottage is set over three floors, so there are stairs between levels.

This is a loved holiday home rather than a hotel, so we kindly ask that you treat it with the same care as your own.

The area:

Camber is a small, laid-back seaside village — and that’s exactly why we love it. Facilities are limited, but what it does have is rather special: one truly spectacular stretch of sandy beach (which we suspect is why you’re here), a cracking local pub, and a wonderful restaurant that punches well above its weight.

Life here is slow, spacious and peaceful. Think grassy dunes, big skies, salty sea air and proper switch-off time. Evenings are quiet, nights are dark, and the soundtrack is more wind and waves than traffic.

If you’re after buzzing nightlife, lots of shops or late-night noise, Camber probably isn’t for you. But if 'calm', 'cosy' and 'coastal' sound like your idea of heaven, you’ll feel right at home.

Lovely property

Beautifully appointed and in a good location. Parking is a bit tight in front of the house but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lounge is spacious and sunny and ideal for a larger group.

Great accommodation in a quiet area

This 3 bedroom house has plenty of space to enjoy a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of city living. Car availability is desirable although the Wave bus service a short distance away gets you to nearby towns without the hassle of parking. Only downside our weekend group found was the lounge table which neutralised half the room! No thing's perfect!

Lovely beachy stay

Thank you for the wonderful stay in your lovely house! It had a real nice beach house feel to it. Shops were closeby and the small community was lovely. We come to England every year and this was great. The house was clean, plenty of space, games, books and movies! Fun for everyone :)

Wunderschönes Haus in toller Lage
