Baylight Beach House + Mother In-Law Appt for additional rate

Stunning Beach Home with magnificent views of Mt. Baker, Hales Passage and the Ferry Crossing. The home is located on the most sought after beach on Lummi Island. It is a long beach with a chance to find agates, colored beach glass and shells. To top it off the home has been totally remodeled with just about all new or antique furniture. It is a wonderful family home, perfect for reunions, anniversaries, birthdays and just in time to make that lasting memory for your family.

The home is large with 3 bedrooms in the main portion of the home that sleeps 8. The Master Bedroom situated on the upper level, has a King Bed, fireplace, TV, seating area and ensuite bath. The main level has 2 Bedrooms, each has a Queen Bed and one has 2 Twin Beds aside from the Queen. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all large areas which take advantage of the water and mountain views. When the evenings are cool you can sit by the fireplace in the living room, watch TV or play games. The kitchen has ample space for "kibitzers", and an island for those who like to give directions to the cook.


There is also an apartment that is accessed through the main entry but is locked off unless a guest requests that additional area. It consists of 1 bedroom with a King bed, bathroom with shower, full kitchen, eating area and sleeper sofa in the living room. There is an electric fireplace, TV, seating and internet. This space must be requested and does have an additional fee of $150.00 per night, cleaning fee of $75.00 and tax.
There is plenty of seating for lounging outdoors and the lawn is large enough for a good game of badminton, croquet or volleyball. There is direct access to the long beach.

The house is comfortable with room to converse and kids to play. Those who need quiet time can go upstairs for quiet and an amazing view. Great waterfront for screaming play and views of water. Kitchen is well equipped which is good because in. December no restaurants are open. Hosts always available for questions

Relaxing getaway

My family and I absolutely loved it here. This was our first time visiting Lummi Island. The neighbors were very friendly. The house was stunning with amazing views that you could hardly turn away from. We were already planning a return trip before we left.

We had such an amazing time. Three generations and it was perfect. The common area was awesome, perfect set up with the kitchen, eating area and living room. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. The in law suite was perfect for our son and young family. Naps and bedtimes were uninterrupted and the kids were close byEnjoyed the games and puzzles. Beach time was awesome. The neighbors we met were friendly and welcoming. Virginia was incredible. All in all, we all had a great holiday. Thank you so much for having this house available.

Beautiful property

The view from the master is breathtaking! The rock sand beach was so fun for the kids to play on and hunt for shells. We saw 5 otters while kayaking and many bald eagles. It felt like a wonderful mix of luxury and nature. I highly recommend staying here!

The property is in a great location with easy beach access. The house comes very well equipped, so easy to prepare meals. Very clean and well organized with fantastic views. We even saw a pod of Orcas swimming up Hale's Passage. Would stay again. Thank you!

Christmas getaway

The Baylight Beach house was welcoming, exceptionally well equipped and exactly as advertised. We enjoyed a very relaxing and laid back opportunity to do some family bonding in a unique environment. The storm watching was an unexpected bonus with a king tide combined with 50 mph gusts of wind. We definitely had a front row seat! Thank you Virginia!

The house was perfect for three generations of our family. The accommodation we're very clean and comfortable. Other than bringing our own food and toiletries we needed nothing. Beautiful Stay

This house is definitely a winner. The view is amazing; the house is darling and wonderfully decorated. We appreciated the large, well-appointed kitchen. The yard and beach provided a great play place for the kids and Golden Retriever! The stargazing was delightful. The master en-suite bedroom upstairs is incredible!! Our one issue is the small downstairs bathroom. Wow. Large adults “seriously disliked” the shower experience. Just be aware of this as you plan for two families (total of eight) to share the house. The upstairs family will get an exceptionally roomy and lovely place to stay. Otherwise, it’s wonderful choice to stay on Lummi Island!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Retreat

The Baylight Beach House was really an ideal spot for our family of 8 to celebrate Thanksgiving. The house is a little older and has a few quirks but most of it has been remodeled and is decorated adorably. Since we did a lot of cooking the huge kitchen was a delight. The view of Mt. Baker is wonderful and we were blessed with good weather most of the time. The dogs loved running on the beach. The master suite is upstairs and has a huge beautiful bathroom with a shower plus a separate soaking tub. By contrast the only other bathroom is on the main floor and is tiny. We told everyone in our family to feel free to use the upstairs bathroom. The bonus room with the extra kitchen has not been updated but it was very nice to have access to. Be aware that in the winter it is a hard room to get warm. Virginia was very responsive and brought us a couple of additional space heaters. The Lummi Island Ferry was easy to use with no long lines like you find going to the San Juan Islands. There really isn't much in the way of stores on the island - so plan ahead. There's a fireplace but no wood we could find. Thankfully one of our family members came a day after the rest of us so he was able to pick up presto logs and a few other things on the the way. Overall, we had a marvelous time and the house met our needs nicely.

Great long weekend with family

This is our second stay and we enjoyed it a great deal once again. Even the weather was beautiful. Great location on the beach and the house is very comfortable for a family (including grandparents) and kids. Hope to stay again sometime soon.

Summer Getaway

We've been coming to this location our whole lives and loved just being on the beach, soaking in the views. Some of the amenities listed were not actually available which was disappointing. Virginia, the property manager, was great!

Lummi Lovely !

It was a romantic lovely stay for my Valentine and I. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the house on the beach. Lummi island is a wonderful little island with friendly people and beautiful hiking trails. The house is well kept with a perfect right on the beach location and views of the ferry going back and forth all day.

Lummi Island family reunion

This was a beautiful property and the house was perfect for us. We had 7 children ages 1-12 and they all had a great time. If anything, it was prettier than we expected. The views of Mt Baker were amazing!

This is a beautiful property that was perfect for our best friend and families meet up. We had 11people total, 6 adults and 5 kids from 8-18mo, and it was perfect! Kids loved the water front and finding shells and the adults loved watching them and exploring the island. Virginia was extremely helpful as well.

Excellent for family hang-out

House was exceptionally clean and kitchen(s) very well stocked with tools/dishes. Posting should be updated with pics of 4th room (AWESOME!!!) and second living space. Spent time at Full Bloom farm and some of the nature preserves - other than that, enjoyed the house which was great (not much more to do on Lummi, which was fine)! Wish they had a few more toys for kids and beach towels - bring your own! Really - this house was lovely, so happy owners are making it available to share!
