This house is for monthly rental only. Situated in lovely Jamaica Beach beside the Galveston State Park, the house is the ideal home for vacation getaway. The house features fishing/boat deck, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, grill, bikes, kayaks, boat slip. The awesome waterfront location offers a great view of the sunset over the water as well as a cooling ocean breeze.

The main floor living room features a very spacious yet cozy area. Two large dining tables inside and out. One bedroom contains two twin bunk beds, for four kids to enjoy staying together.

The ground floor features boat deck with a deck ladder which offers the perfect spot for fishing in the shade, jumping into water, dropping in the crab cages or launching out the kayaks with life vests we have available. A large grassy front and side yard offers a great area for children to play and adults to cookout.

Perfect Stay for Fishing Lovers!

Had a great time at this canal house! The location was quiet and peaceful, with easy access to the water. Caught fish right from the backyard dock. House was clean and comfortable, great place to relax after a long day of fishing.

Jamaica Beach escape

Friends weekend in Jamaica Beach and this place worked perfectly. Only issue was the fish weren’t biting, but not the owners fault. Will definitely stay again.

Family Getaway

The house had everything we needed for our 3 day Memorial Day weekend. Teens really enjoyed the kayaks, fishing, and just hanging out swimming in the canal. Not a far drive or bike down to the beach and a very great community! We also went to the community pool for a bit which the kids enjoyed as well. We really enjoyed our stay and had some great quality family time!

My two daughters sons in laws and grandchildren and I stayed here 5 days it was great house was great being right on the canal was a great treat and everyone loved the fishing and crabbing crab pots provided along with 3 kayaks that we loved We had never kyaked before The housing area even had a pool and the house is only a mile from the Gulf of Mexico to boogie board or surf fish we had a great time and want to go again ve

Family Vacation Fun

Our group of family and friends enjoyed our stay in this quiet neighborhood home on the canal. Teens enjoyed having access to kayaks along with adults enjoying the bicycles provided. The open living area was great and accommodated all of us together. Great time had by all!

Beautiful and quiet property

We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining area for entertaining. There was plenty of sleeping space with very comfortable beds and soft sheets. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We used the downstairs outside area for visiting and grilling. The property provided everything we needed and expected.

Good place to stay with a large family

We enjoyed the property and amenities. The dock was great for watching fish and for easy access to our boat we brought. The house was clean and had easy to clean hard surfaces for flooring and countertops which is perfect for a beach area rental. AC worked great and was needed during the hot and humid Texas heat to recuperate.

Great waterfront vacation house for three families

Wonderful vacation house. Great location ( beach is just across street), lots of activities (kayak, bike, crab fishing, fishing), clean and fully equipped kitchen. Landlord is thoughtful and provide quick responses to our question (only one actually about the lights in the kitchen).

We had a really great time at this house. We slept 9 comfortably. 2 in bedrooms one & two, 4 in bedroom 3 that has double bunk beds and one on the couch! House was stocked with kitchen utensils and all its necessities. We also used the Webber propane grill and it was excellent for cooking! All 3 kayaks were a nice amenity as well. We caught lots of fish from the dock it self along with at least 10 crabs in the crab cage! There’s also a good size convenience store at the entrance of the neighborhood. Jamaica beach is right across the street with plenty of room to park and set up canopies! There’s a bait shop like 5 mins up the road and a small local restaurant as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and David was very communicative and answered all my questions promptly!

Great place for relaxing and fishing.

Stayed here for a long weekend with some friends. The house was clean and well furnished and has plenty of room. David (owner) provided access to his kayaks which was great for my group as we used them to paddle and fish in Galveston Island State Park which is right across the street. David checked in to see if we needed anything and was very accommodating during our stay. Jamaica Beach is a quiet canal neighborhood with a couple of local dining spots where you can escape the crowds of the main part of the island. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again David!

Great getaway on a perfect Cove in Jamaica Beach!

We had a fantastic week at Jamaica Beach. The house is perfect for our set up — 2 little kids, 3 teen/20s, 4 adults. Older kids stayed in the ground floor bedroom. 2 adult bedrooms and bunk room upstairs that could have accommodated 2-3 more comfortably. The top deck gets extremely hot in the late afternoon/evening. Downstairs is more breezy. The beach area is a quick drive and staying on the bay was nice and quiet and relaxing. We loved it so much we called the realtor for the house for sale across the street!

Old but enjoyable

Great place to stay, lots of features. TV is not functioning with DVD/Blu-ray. Upper deck needs replacement. Most nails are a tripping hazard with a few rotten boards. Beds are more like bricks with sheets. Grill needs gas.

Annual Family Weekend

The house was just as listed. The kitchen was stocked with all of t GG e utensils and appliances needed for the weekend. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and floats. The only thing was the boat launch. You have to get a permit to park your vehicle and trailer at the boat launch or you will be fined. It was a little unclear if you needed the permit to just launch as I did. I drove back and parked truck and trailer at the house. I didn't get a ticket, but I may have just been lucky. All in all a Great weekend with the kids and grandkids.

Perfect vacation house

My family spends a week in Galveston every summer, and this house was amazing, one of the best we have rented. The kitchen was so big, and the living area was huge. All the upstairs bedrooms were very roomy. The kitchen was well supplied. The only thing we found lacking was a mixing bowl. We used the 4 cup measuring cup which worked for what we needed. The guys enjoyed the privacy of the downstairs bedroom as well as the second fridge for their cokes and beer. One big selling point was the breezeway. It has been a while since we have had a house that had such a great spot to sit outside and visit. There was always a nice breeze even in the middle of the afternoon. The only suggestion I would have is to add a black out curtain or blinds to the window in the Master bedroom bath. I was very hard to do anything with hair or makeup with the glare from the window on the mirror. Yeah, I know. That is just nitpicking. The family is already asking if I will rent it again next year. The owner responded to my questions very quickly. All in all, I would highly recommend this house.
