All wood construction of 80 sqm with terrace in a screen of greenery, beautifully located south in a quiet location in the village center minutes from the ocean and the Arcachon Bay.

A lovely, comfortable cottage

We stayed in Le Porge, with our lively springer spaniel, and this gite was a great choice for us. The property was clean and comfortable, and the designated parking space was a bonus. The owners were very friendly and the free range eggs from their chickens were delicious! The beach at Le Porge Ocean was fabulous and we recommend a visit to Arcachon and also taking the ferry from Lamarque to see the Citadelle de Blaye.

Great house and hosts

We had a very enjoyable holiday in this excellent house. The location is very convenient for both the beaches and Bordeaux, and great for cycling or walking in forests and along the coast. The house is beautifully finished, private, and comforable, with all the required equipment and amenities to a high standard. Hosts Francis and Catherine were very welcoming and helpful, even providing delicious home-grown tomatoes and free-range eggs. Hope to visit again some day!

Praktisch eingerichtet, in einer sehr schönen Umgebung. Direkt nebenan werden Hühner gehalten und man kann bei Serge, der sich auch um den Checkin kümmert günstig frische Eier bekommen. Es ist nicht weit zum Ozean oder Lacanau, je nach Wetterlage. Direkt in Le Porge gibt es einen Intermarché in dem man alles bekommt. Wer mit kleinen Kindern reist, sollte beachten, dass neben dem Haus nicht viel Platz zum Spielen ist und der Essbereich außen, könnte für Personen die empfindlich gegenüber Mücken sind problematisch werden. Ansonsten ist das Haus der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für einen Urlaub an der Atlantikküste von Medoc.

Océan, verdure et bonheur

Un gîte très beau et agréable, très bien situé, proche de l'océan (amateurs de running : 11 km sous les arbres) proche du bassin d'Arcachon que nous ne connaissions pas, pas loin de Bordeaux qui mérite une journée de déambulation, et pas loin des chateaux et vignobles...qu'on n'a pas eu le temps de voir tellement il a fait beau en cette fin avril, au point de rendre agréable la mer à 14 degrésQuant au vélo sous les arbres autour du Cap Ferret, c'est un incontournable familial : dépaysement garanti. Ne pas rater non plus les huitres servies par les producteurs en bord de bassin !Sans exagérer : c'est un paradis vert (végétation généreuse et variée). Qu'en est-il en plein été par 40 degrés ? On n'en sait rien, mais fin avril / début mai avec 22/25 degrés c'était du pur bonheur.

La petite maison dans la prairie

Un chalet tout en bois, parfaitement équipé, où il fait bon vivre. C est la 2eme fois que nous y revenons. Accueil chaleureux et à proximité en voiture dune du pilat, bassin d Arcachon etc...

Urlaub in der umgebauten Scheune in Le Porge

Wir verbrachten 3 schöne Wochen in diesem charmanten Haus. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir fühlten uns richtig wohl. Le Porge gefiel uns gerade durch seinen noch nicht vom Tourismus geprägten Charakter eines kleinen Städtchens und der Strand ist wundervoll. Sehr gerne kommen wir einmal hierher zurück. Tout le confort était au rendez-vous, dans cette maison style chalet. Super literie, lit fait à l'arrivée, très agréable et appréciable avec tout le linge de toilette. Propriétaire très discret. L'océan a 8mn en voiture avec de magnifique plage de sable fin. De très beaux paysages. De belles ballades à faire, déguster des huitres, et se ressourcer dans le calme de la Chamotte.. je conseille vivement cette location

Ruhig und gut gelegen - alles Nötige vorhanden und gemütlich

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles hat funktioniert und wir waren mit dem Auto schnell am Strand, in der Bucht von Arcachon sowie in Bordeaux. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und unkompliziert. Morgens wacht man mit den Hühnern auf. Es ist sehr ruhig. Der Bäcker ist in Fußnähe, ein Intermarché in 3 Minuten mit dem Auto. Donnerstags gibt es einen kleinen Markt in Le Porge. Einzig lästig waren die Stechmücken. Große Menschen sollten wissen, dass im 1. OG, wo sich die Schlafzimmer und das Bad befinden Dachschrägen sind.

La maison est bien agencée et agréable. Seul petit défaut l'isolation intérieure. Très bien située (commerces, rue calme, très belle plage à 15 mn). Espace extérieur ensoleillé. Nous y retournerons.
