Totally refurbished to welcome you, its entire space was designed for your comfort and well-being. The modern and careful decoration is in tune with the historical streets that surround this city building. With a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom and a generous open space, this apartment is perfect to discover the charms of Funchal.
The house is fully equipped and has all the amenities to make you feel at home.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA
This house is located in a privileged central area, right in the heart of the city of Funchal. At 15 minutes walking distance from the Lavradores Market and the Old Town of Funchal, from here you can explore on foot the several touristic points of our beautiful city (e.g. Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)

TRANSPORTATION
With a bus stop in the vicinity (five minutes away), transport will not be a problem for our guests.
For departures and arrivals from the airport, there is an aerobus stop about seven minutes from the house, although the best option to reach the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport!

Guests have access to all areas of the apartment.

We are always available to help or answer questions. Contact us through our cell phone numbers or email. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

OTHER REMARKS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid identification document (e.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not booked within a maximum of 48 hours, guests will be subject to our staff's availability.
- All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also place a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and fire blanket at all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

This property was very comfortable & clean. The kitchen had everything necessary for a 4-night stay (you supply the food, of course). The location in Funchal could not have been better!!!! Easy walking to shops, local restaurants & marina nightlife.

Perfect stay in Funchal

Centrally located apartment in Funchal. Spacious apartment with lots of light and a big roof terrace. Fully equipped from a coffee maker to a first class laundry room. If you like it urban with everything in walking distance, this is the place to stay.

Spacious appartment

This spacious appartment was in a central location, close to restaurants and bars. The main street and supermart/shopping centre just up the road. We enjoyed the large balcony which was north facing, offering some shade and good views of the town and hillside.

Not a professional company

Very bad follow-ups on reported problems. We had to live with a sewage problem for our whole stay. Poorly equipped apartment. I would recommend to avoid An Island Apart.

Emplacement parfait et excellent service à la clientèle!

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cet appartement. La situation géographique est parfaite, les principales attractions de Funchal peuvent se faire directement à pied et il y a plusieurs arrêts d'autobus à proximité. On trouve toutes les commodités à distance de marche (resto, épiceries, boutiques, etc). On a aussi beaucoup aimé la rapidité et l'efficacité de l'équipe du service à la clientèle. Chaque fois qu'on a eu une question, ils nous ont répondu en moins d'une heure. D'ailleurs, on a eu un petit problème avec la toilette et l'équipe de maintenance est arrivée dans l'heure qui a suivi. On réserverait assurément à nouveau à cet endroit si on revenait à Madère.

Loved it

This place was well furnished and lovely. At one point, the battery on the keypad died and I got locked out, and they were quick to fix it and problem solve. They were super responsive to any and all of my needs and questions. The bed was great, the location was perfect. I would highly recommend and stay again if I return to Madeira!

Lovely apartment in Funchal

The Downtown apartment was in an excellent location with local attractions and amenities on the doorstep. The apartment itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was in a nice area, felt safe and was very clean. In comparison to other apartments we have stayed in around Europe, this one was quite large and excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend any of the apartments in this building.

Estadia FNC I-2022

Gostei: da localização, do espaço interior, da varanda (virada a norte, mais fresca), da limpeza, do sossego e da acessibilidade. Não gostei: máquina de café de filtro (devia ter uma máquina de café expresso), varanda pouco equipada (justificava-se a existência de umas cadeiras de relaxe), lençóis com aspeto de demasiado usados (deviam ser substituídos) e faltou sabonete para mãos e papel higiénico. Não gostei mesmo: da falta de cortina de "blackout" da porta junto à "kitchenette" (apesar de ter solicitado a verificação antes do início da estadia para 3 pessoas). Contatei um colaborador da AIA e este, apesar de dizer me contactaria para resolver o problema, nunca o fez. A situação foi remediada no dia seguinte, ao encontráramos a cortina, sem grampos, na arrecadação. Retiramos alguns grampos de outra cortina e improvisamos.

Central location, fantastic use of space, lovely patio

Stayed for a week before moving up the coast to a house that's managed by the same company. Absolutely loved the fact that it's the top floor of the building with a massive patio to enjoy breakfast and dinner outside. The apartment is clean and close to just about everything needed for a comfortable stay. There's a large shopping centre 4-6 minute walk away, and plenty of restaurants in the area to have a quick snack or dinner. Will be coming back for a longer stay!

Good equiped, centrally located, very large terrace to enjoy breakfast or lunch, airco in the bedroom was well appreciated. Also the communication was very good and zasy, login via code, appartment and the whole building nice and clear. We would for sure come back and recommend this place!!
