Good base to explore area

We had a lovely week at Rundales Cottage. Richard and Chantal were great hosts, there if needed but not intrusive. Their many pet dogs were no problem, well behaved and fun to watch. The property abuts a working dairy farm, the sounds and smells all add to the experience of staying in the country. Hadrian’s wall and Northumberland in general are within easy reach, along with the Lakes and Dales. Appleby is a short walk or drive away, and Dufton too though a bit further, but well worth a visit. On the whole it is a very quiet location though the main road is well used mornings and afternoons. There are lots of walks within easy reach from the property itself.

A very nice cottage, ideal for two people with all the required items needed.

A very nice cottage, ideal for two people with all the required items needed. The property was in outstanding condition with some very personal touches. The owners Chantel and Richard were very helpful and charming which made the visit exceptional. A big plus for my wife and i were all of the resident dogs which were great fun.
