The seaside town of Hastings, 7 miles, is a great place to stroll along the pier and indulge in some fish and chips. Sedlescombe offers the opportunity to visit a thriving organic vineyard, which has won many accolades for its wine. The area is home to National Trust properties, including Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Rudyard Kipling’s stunning home, Bateman’s.
