This cabin was clean and comfortable. It felt like we were at home. It was an easy check in and check out. The sound of the water running outside was relaxing. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing as well.
Amazing stay! Everything was clean, organized and welcoming. The deck, grill and hot tub were great. Great location for hiking hike and just a short walk to Sundance. Lot's of wildlife to enjoy (turkeys, moose). Lovely view of the creek.Hope to stay here again!

Thank you for the great review. AND I’m glad the moose meandered your way! They are only around our area of Sundance for a short time every year! Aren’t they stately creatures?
Happy you enjoyed. Yes, please come see us at your next earliest convenience!
We, look for you. Pamela
What a beautiful place to stay! The stream was lovely, the house was cozy and the beds were comfortable! Quiet neighborhood and great communication with Pamela throughout.

Sydney, thank you for choosing the Hideaway Above the Stream as your little getaway during the conference.
That’s what we call smart life balance—mixing purpose with a touch of peace.
This cabin tends to attract travelers just like you—guests who are ready for something more meaningful than a hotel stay. You brought such care and presence to the space, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Thoughtful, respectful, and easy to communicate with—you’re exactly the kind of guest we love to welcome back.
Many of our frequent visitors even leave a small bag with us between trips—slippers, a favorite book or bottle of wine, even their coziest pajamas—so it’s waiting for them next time. Just say the word.
Thank you again for being part of what makes this place special.
You’re always welcome here.
Pamela & the Mountain Cabins Utah Team
No complaints. Almost perfect. Would be nice if the rooms had curtains or shades but perfect otherwise.

So happy you had a great time . Pamela & Mountain Cabins Utah Team
This was such a memorable stay in its solitude, its ambiance, and the many spaces available both indoor and out to get to know new friends. Do yourself a favor and stay more than one night. I found it difficult to leave after a single night for sure. This place deserves a weekend at minimum and much longer to fully enjoy all it has to offer.
It was absolutely perfect and gorgeous. The fall season here make the place a piece of heaven. We just loved it.

Awesome Mountain Getaway
Loved staying at this cabin - very clean, well furnished and stocked with everything I needed. I slept well each night listening to the stream and woke each morning to a beautiful view. Highly recommended and look forward to my next visit!
We loved our stay at the cabin. Beautiful cozy place! We even had wild turkeys in the yard daily. The stairs are a little bit of a hike but doable. We would definitely stay again.
Our group really enjoyed this cozy cabin getaway! A perfect location for our fall trip. The host was so accommodating and wonderful to work with, and the link with all the information she sent over was SO HELPFUL. I highly recommend this location for your needs up at Sundance.
This was the perfect getaway from the city. The sound of the rushing strem below the cabin was the perfect backdrop to relax on the deck or soak in the hot tub. It was also wonderful to have the great food an adventures of Sundance Resort only a few minutes away.
We loved every moment of our time here! The kids are already wanting to go back next year. The Sundance ski resort was so much fun, the fireplace at the cabin was perfectly stocked with wood and starters. The interior was updated and comfortable.
Ideal cabin right over a beautiful stream. The decks allowed you to relax to the running water. Cabin is very well stocked with cookware and dinnerware. Overall, it is an exceptional place in a wonderful location.
While we couldn't have known we would luck out and pick the best snow weekend of the year to stay here, this place's eclectic, nostalgic vibe is just amazing. The kids thought it was magical with old Swiss charm and plenty of room to spread out. The ski closet made gearing up and down so easy. The hot tub was a hit. It's just the coziest family getaway. Already planning a return trip.

About the host
Hosted by Mountain Cabins Utah
Pamela and Lynn are partners in business and life. Lynn grew up in Springville, Utah, and Pamela in Phoenix, Arizona, and they met up in Austin, Texas, where they maintain a business and a home. Family, friends and the call of the mountains and Utah outdoor lifestyle has drawn them back year after year. They call the mountain their home and reside on Big Pine Canyon Road year round. Five minutes from their cabins, they are readily available to help out in any situation. Here is the truth: The winters bring you to Sundance and the summers keep you here! We are living proof!
Why they chose this property
The location is as good as it gets. This family cabin was built by hand in the sixties and remained in their possession until about three years ago. With deep respect for the family and history of the original cabin, the most recent owner opted to remodel instead of starting from scratch and did a down to the studs remodel - and what a wonderful job he did. Another aspects that drew us to this cabin was how secluded you felt in spite of being only five minutes from Sundance. It is truly a unique place to spend time.
What makes this property unique
The Mountain is breathtakingly beautiful no matter what time of the year. In the summer the temperatures are pleasantly warm and proximity to the stream cools you down even more. The wildflowers in the spring, the hummingbirds, the wild life in the yards, the snow in the winter makes this place a little piece of heaven. And did we talk about the air? Crisp, clean and full of nature smells and the water is the best drinking water ever! And how about the Greatest Snow on Earth? Yes, it's right here. There's always so much to do. Sundance Film Festival in January, ZipLine Tours, skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snow shoeing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, fine, fine restaurants, music on the lawn at the resort, outdoor theater, harvest festivals, pottery classes, glass blowing exhibits, author series...... the list goes on and on. AND these are all activities within five minutes of the cabin. Almost forgot about the SPA and Sundance and live music at the Owl Bar! Come and experience it yourself. It's a happy community and we love visitors.
