Ready to relax and enjoy the beach lifestyle? Sunshine Cottage is waiting for you! This 2 bedroom, 1 bath charmer was built in 1930 and is located in a quiet area 6 blocks from the refreshing Atlantic Ocean. That's a short 10 minute walk before your toes hit the sand! Sunshine Cottage has the character and appeal that only a historic home can offer - original heart pine wood floors, fireplace, windows, doors and knobs, and built-in cabinets. While historic, the cottage has lovingly been renovated and includes all the modern amenities to keep you comfortable, without losing that vintage coastal charm.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the front screened porch. The coastal chic interior of Sunshine Cottage welcomes you as soon as you walk in the door. Two comfortable sitting areas, one equipped with a TV; the other a cozy fireplace.

Sunshine Cottage offers two quaint bedrooms. Perfect for a couple or small family and comfortably sleeps four. The first bedroom features a queen sized bed and TV. The second bedroom features twin beds.

The dining room table seats six and allows plenty of space for gathering for meals. Original built-in cabinets provide extra storage space for guests and showcase the craftsmanship from years ago. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials, glassware and dinnerware. A full size washer and dryer are located directly off the kitchen in an enclosed porch.

All your beach necessities are housed in a storage shed in the fully fenced backyard – bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and beach toys. There is also a gas grill and pavered seating area.

You are within walking or biking distance to the heart of Jacksonville Beach – restaurants, shops, bars, festivals, Sea Walk Pavilion, life guard station and pier. Mayo Clinic is conveniently located 10 minutes away.

Onsite parking is available for two vehicles.

Dogs are allowed up to 50 pounds, maximum 1. Please inquire about dogs before booking.

Perfect for a long weekend

The house was just perfect for me, my wife, and adult son. We stayed 3 nights so our son could become aquainted with the area he is moving to. Location is great for the beach, restaurants, and things to do. The fact that all beach supplies are provided is great for those flying in. Very glad we picked this property.

This was our second stay at this property and was great again. Location is great. Easy walking distance to beach, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Jax Braus House which has best brunch in Jacksonville. House is well furnished and and fenced backyard was great for our dog.

We have lived in the Jacksonville area for over 30 years. Even though we did not grow up in the Beaches area, we met, married and made it our home many years ago. Now, four children later, we continue to love the area and have no doubt it's the best part of town.

Why they chose this property

In the day and age of condos and cookie cutter homes, it's a rare find to own a piece of history. We love the uniqueness, character and charm of this little cottage!

What makes this property unique

Although renovated, the original charm of the cottage still exists - beautiful heart pine floors, rope and pulley windows, five panel doors, brass door knobs, brick fireplace and built in cabinets. We can't forget about the wonderful screened porch and swing too! And the nice sized fenced backyard offers privacy.
