With two bedrooms (one King-size, one twin), both of which are en suite, the property sleeps four guests. Enjoying a bright and comfortable interior throughout, the cottage enjoys a private decked terrace, with beautiful views over Salcombe estuary towards Snapes Point. With quick and easy access to the town, and the nearby South Hams coast and countryside, 14a Courtenay Street is an ideal retreat for families or perhaps two couples.
Amenities: Gas central heating and hot water. Gas hob, electric cooker, extractor, large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, dining table and chairs (washer/dryer in laundry cupboard off bathroom). Feature stone fireplace. TV. Modern terrace with glass balustrade surround, outdoor furniture and barbecue. Wifi. Lavazza Tiny Pod coffee machine available (pods not supplied). Parking pass for one car is provided - for the long stay car park in Salcombe (subject to restrictions). All bedding, linen and towels provided. Strictly No Smoking. You are permitted to unload in Courtenay Street but NOT park as it is Residents Parking only and you will receive a parking ticket if you do so.
Both bedrooms are located below ground level.
The second bedroom is better suited to children.
Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Town: Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.
