Great location for a couple of days, not for longer. Agent awful.
Property is a ground floor apartment above the resort of Padenghe within a closed community. Patio faces Lake Garda and therefore there are some great views to be had while having breakfast/ dinner.
The apartment itself is, per one of the other reviews, spacious and airy but a little dated in places. Had to sort through a couple of broken loungers to find the functional ones reinforced this.
On arrival we tried to use the oven and found it tripped the rest of the circuits. We got in touch with the apartment management - Lago Vacanze - who to be fair were immediately back in touch. However, their response (and this is verbatim from their message) of "unfortunately most houses in Italy don't have much electricity so you shouldn't turn on many devices at the same time" was somewhat underwhelming. We tried turning the oven on will all other circuits on the master breaker off with same result so also doesn't scan.
Padenghe is in a lovely situation 10 mins drive from the more bustling Desenzano and under 90 mins away from the sites of Verona and Riva.
More disappointment on our return when Lago Vacanze billed us e150 for "broken dishwasher". We used the dishwasher a lot. It worked. We weren't aware of any damage but after half a dozen efforts over a week to get any further justification the final message to date was "the damage was there after your departure". Unfortunately your deposit is made online with no redress.
Padenghe is lovely. Would not touch Lago Vacanze again.
