You are a short bike ride from the Point beaches, Sunset beach and the state park.

The house sleeps three comfortably with a an open airy high ceiling and you are right in the middle of Cape May Point's prime birding nature area. We are nestled away down a bamboo lane, our cottage has a murphy bed on first floor and a loft bedroom plus a huge great room with a renovated kitchen and A Birders and nature lovers alike will not want to miss spring and fall at the bamboo cottage.

There is a private deck with its overhead pergola and gas grill. You just need to get on your bike and head down the road about a half mile to Cape May Point State Park to a private cove and beach. A private stay at the shore on a tree lined street.

Mary Beth was an excellent host, easy to reach and most accommodating. Location was perfect for our bird watching adventures. To our most pleasant surprise, the Murphy bed was very comfortable. The outdoor area is quite beautiful and a real added bonus.

We had a great week at the Bamboo Cottage. It was well appointed and equipped. The Murphy bed was REALLY comfortable...better than home! My adult son said the loft bed was comfortable too!Mary Beth was a great host, very helpful, accessible and friendly.We'd love to go back in the fall. and friendly.

Just Us Jersey Girls from Vermont

Hostess was very helpful and supportive. Cottage was cute but very dated. Grill on the porch was beneficial for relaxing dinners with easy clean up. Totally recommend this place for very small family or a couple.

Bamboo cottage

We had a smooth check in and out. The cottage location was fantastic the cottage setup worked great for us. Plan to revisit again. Highly recommend for a couple.

Cozy and convenient stay. Easy

I have been going with family for 15 years. We have had to split up into multiple dwellings as it is harder to find anything big enough for 18. While the others were in 'The Point' , this was close and very walkable. Cozy and peaceful. Although there isn't laundry, i pack appropriately and have family at other houses to use there. I would deffinately recomend the 'Bamboo cottage' as long as it doesn't become too well known that it boooks up and leaves me searching again. Great place.

Perfect getaway

The Bamboo Cottage was everything we'd hoped and more. The space is immaculate, the bed very comfy, and the surroundings beautiful, quiet, and very private. The kitchen area is lovely, and the stove/oven really high quality. We definitely plan to stay here again.

A quaint cottage in the woods. Owner was delightful and helped get us settled and showed us where everything was. We had our dog with us and there was an area to walk him. Highly recommend. Will be back. Close to everything.

Beautiful stay in bamboo cottage

Two of us and our dog stayed for the audobon fall migration. The new park trails right near here were a delightful surprise. It has the modern conveniences and a nice shower. We didn’t use the loft upstairs as it’s quite a hike up there. A few things I wish we’d had are extra blankets and a dust buster for the bugs. The Murphy bed is actually really comfortable.

Great Cape May Getaway

The Bamboo House is a private space in a great location on Cape May Point. The house is clean with all the amenities needed for a relaxing beach vacation including a shaded pergola and outdoor shower. It is close to downtown Cape May and a quick bike ride to my favorite beaches in New Jersey. The sleeping situation includes 2 beds in an open loft and a very comfortable Murphy bed in the living room. This wasn’t a problem but the set up is ideal for a one couple. I look forward to visiting again next year.

Great Couples Getaway

This property is perfect for a couple looking to get away & enjoy some serenity. The cottage is nestled back from the road and surrounded with bamboo (super cool) which allows for ample privacy. Located just minutes from both the Cape May Point AND Cape May beaches, this property is the perfect central location. The owners were kind enough to provide two passes not only for the point beaches, but for the downtown Cape May beaches as well. You are just a bike ride away from Sunset Beach, the Cape May lighthouse, WWII lookout tower, mini golf, and much more! Cottage is stocked with the basic amenities, has a good size fridge, dishwasher, full range, outdoor grill, and has notably good water pressure in both showers outdoor & indoor. The murphy bed was extremely comfortable, which was a plus since we did not dare climb the spiral staircase to inspect the sleeping arrangements in the loft. There were not many cons, other than I’d recommend the owners move the signage for the cottage a little closer to the road, as we had a hard time locating the drive upon arrival. In addition, a few dishes & the silverware were poorly washed & put away, plus the comforter provided for the murphy bed had a few stains. All in all we had a wonderful stay at the bamboo cottage & will definitely be returning!

Secluded Studio Near the Sea

Felt special driving onto the bamboo-enclosed property, past the guardian rhino. The cottage is basically a loft studio with a bathroom; the high ceilings and Murphy bed keep it from feeling closed-in. All amenities we needed were provided, from kitchen gear to a TV with plenty of streaming options. Loved having the Murphy bed- it was very comfortable and a breeze to operate. Kitchen chairs were quite comfortable as well! Shower very roomy. We had issues with the water at first- no hot water and little pressure- the host immediately took care of it when notified (handyman forgot to turn on the hot water). This is a pet-friendly rental and my family noticed pet fur that did not come from our dog, but that's understandable. We loved the Cape May Point location- a little more private and quieter than downtown, but only a short drive away. Mary Beth was readily available and answered all messages promptly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to any small families/groups who don't mind being in one open space to sleep.

Private paradise

A wonderful property. Very private and secluded. The house was immaculate. Very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. My wife and I had a fabulous time. So much to see and do! Walking distance to the lighthouse, sunset beach and nature trails. A short ride in to town for food and fun. Will definitely be back for another visit soon!

Magical cottage

I called this cottage ‘magical’ because we immediately relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The location was great. We were one half mile from the bird sanctuary. One mike from the Sunset beach. We were one mile from town. We biked every day . We were surrounded by nature and the birds serenaded us each evening. Thank you to our hosts for a well equipped cottage.

Excellent spot for a quiet getaway

This a cute spot that is pet friendly! It was in a great location. The property is super close to some of our favorite spots: Sunset Beach, Willow Creek Winery, and Beach Plum Farm. If you’re in the area this is nice place to make your home base.

Lovely stay at Bamboo Cottage

We very much enjoyed our stay at Bamboo Cottage. Clean as a whistle, and matched up perfectly with the listing details. Charming place, very private, easy access to main road; we biked everywhere. Great open floor plan with kitchen/living space, outdoor patio, decorated and ready for fall. Looking forward to a return visit!!

Wonderful location

Mary Beth was a great host who made checking in super easy and was very responsive when we needed to reach out. The location can't be beat being walking distance to the beaches on the point, Beach plumb farm and Willow Creek winery. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute cottage in great location

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage in Cape May Point. The place was really cute with a great layout and is perfect for couples. We loved the location adjacent to the state park and close to nature and wonderful bird watching. Check in and out was super easy and convenient.
