Relax at one of the original houses on quiet, scenic Sea Grove Avenue, this home has but has been meticulously renovated. Chefs 5 Burner Stove, Plenty of space for eight to ten in the four bedrooms. The expansive living room invites group gatherings. Set in a Wildlife preserve area with plenty of Space to escape the crowds, but super close to all beaches and activities.Hide from the sun in the screened in porch after a day on the beach. Both Cape May Beaches, the Cape May Point beaches and Sunset Beach are an easy bike ride away.Find a good book in the home's library, while the kids play cards around a low game table - . If you have larger group , there's an additional cottage available on the property but still you will have privacy

We had a wonderful week at the Bamboo House! Beautiful decor, great kitchen, comfortable beds and lovely setting. Rode our bikes everywhere-to the beach, town, farm and local markets. Great hosts, very friendly and communicative!! Highly recommend!

Very nice house but challenging with young children

The house was as advertised, clean and comfortable. Having an 20 month old though with the stairs set up as they were, plus some small steps throughout the house made things challenging at times.

Great house, great property, screened terrace with TV. Met hosts who cleaned as cleaning person was late. Lovely couple. Great location to cap may town, Wildwood, and nature preserves.

A great House in Cape May

My family enjoyed Cape May and the house. Everything was as described and the house has a great classic but modern art feel with very nice furniture. The location was very pretty and away from the crowds of downtown but a quick bike to town and the beaches. Cape May is the only place in NJ that feels like Cape Cod as the other renter noted.

Cape May House

The house is spacious, well equipped, and clean. It is conveniently located for getting to beaches and to town. The beach is an easy bike ride or about a 20 minute walk away, and there is an entrance to Cape May Point State Park across the street, where there are pleasant hiking trails. Mary Beth was responsive and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Remarks

The only drawback was a last-minute problem with the oven in the kitchen. The owner was gracious in her efforts to address this issue. A garbage disposal in the sink would have been helpful. First floor toilet needed some adjustments to work consistently.

Family together time

Spacious and comfortable living area. Master bedroom lovely. The other two bedrooms were filled with two double beds in each, both rooms connecting to an adjoining bathroom which caused privacy problems at times. Early morning wake-up due to all translucent blinds and no shades on two windows. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and our host was always instantly responsive. Would have appreciated more house instructions - how to operate air conditioning and also lock up procedure, both of which were a struggle and caused more phone calls to host! The bed sizes need to be amended on web site 1 queen, 5 doubles (we actually measured the beds after our sheets didn’t fit!).

Home has great space and wonderful layout for 6 adults - both indoors and out. Walking distance to the lighthouse as well as beaches and nature trails. Winery is a v short drive. Perfect setup for our family.

perfect time away

This was a totally stress free time away. The house elevated our experience. over the top clean beautiful rooms. I am the kind of person that gets anxious. Our host Mary Beth thought of everything. I felt peace. The house was minutes from the beach, Cape May walking mall and Beach Plum farm. Couldn't ask for a better location. My husbands a chef so in between visiting my favorite restaurants he prepared gourmet meals on the chef range and grill. I am ready to go back now! 10 stars!

Welcoming home.

Lovely home that provided a quiet retreat during non-stop rain! Large social spaces with comfortable seating that everyone could work independently from. Great dining area for gathering. We only ate out or did take out, but kitchen is great. We wanted this location- walking distance thru wetlands to beach and bird platform and it is perfect for that.

Bird Oasis

This was my first trip to Cape May. The house is beautiful. Artfully decorated with clean and modern kitchen. The best part for me is that you could walk to the state park which is literally a 5 minute walk a few houses down and across the street. The trails are full of birds. They go through woods, marshes and ponds and even to the beach. The Nature Conservancy Meadows Bay bird sanctuary is a very short bike ride or few minute drive away. There are several beaches a short bike ride or less than 5 minute drive away. Other great bike or short drive destinations from the house are Willow Creek Winery and Beach Plum Farm. I started every morning with coffee on the screened in porch listening to the birds and every evening on the same porch listening to the ocean.

Very nice street connecting from Sunset Blvd to Light House Ave Lots of room inside, esp 1st floor. Extremely clean. Very helpful owner. Close walking connection to trail to the Cape May Wetlands State Park and Lighthouse.

Perfection!

Our family recently stayed here (3 adults and 4 teens) and absolutely loved the house and location! It's quiet and private, but also an easy, enjoyable walk to the lake and beach. Just a few quick minutes to town and restaurants as well. The house is cute, with plenty of space, a great kitchen & a great backyard for our dog. The hosts were absolutely great - very responsive & helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great getaway!

We had a great time at Mary Beth’s home! The home is great and decorated beautifully! My kids loved the Rhino in the yard! Mary Beth was great to work with and easy to get ahold of with questions! The location is perfect close to sunset beach and Beach Plum Farms! We enjoyed lots that Cape May had to offer & the location couldn’t have been better! We were sad to see our time come to an end & have already talked about returning! The upstairs bedrooms only have sheer curtains so if traveling with kids who rise with the sun, pack some travel curtains! Thank you for the memories Bamboo House!

Terrific stay in Cape May

Had a great time in Cape May and Mary Beth was very responsive and accommodating. Beaches at Cape May point are very nice and not too crowded. My wife and I both had to work and WiFi worked fine. Nice bike ride or even walk to beach and drive to town is easy. Kids had a great time. Would highly recommend and thanks again Mary Beth.

Very nice house.

Great location for biking/walking to the beach. Great place for the dog. Love the screened in porch and back deck. Ideal place for a relaxing week in Cape May. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is there are no shades on the upstairs windows so the kids were up early with the sun.

Privacy, but close to the beaches, the house has a lovely country/beach feel to it remodeled like a new england beach house. An extra cottage if you wish to rent that also can be included. New 5 burner Capital Gas stove for the Chef in the family. Separate dining area from the kitchen. Library filled with books and games, Cable Tv, HBO Showtime plus Amazon fire tv and Alexa Screened in porch. Very Large bathrooms with 5 foot walkin showers.
