Bluebell Cottage set amongst the trees which attract many native birds.

Bluebell Cottage is a charming self-contained timber cottage accommodating up to 7 guests. Set in a quiet area overlooking a large expanse of Australian bush with formal gardens to stroll through and enjoy. Many native birds and wildlife visit the property daily. We invite you to come and feed the birds and we supply seed for that purpose. If you are after tranquil surroundings Bluebell Cottage is for you.

The large open plan living area has cathedral ceilings with down lights. For your comfort there is a fully equipped timber kitchen including coffee maker and a comfortable lounge area for you to relax in. There is a wood fire for the cooler months and air conditioning and fans available in the summer. Large picture windows open on to the deck. A gas B.B.Q and outdoor setting allow you to enjoy dining in the outdoors. We offer a collection of DVD's, CD's and games. A flat screen Smart TV in living area allowing you to stream your favorite shows. Free Wi-Fi. An extra TV/DVD in master bedroom is also available. Three luxurious bedrooms, 2 queen and 2 king size singles. All beds have electric blankets. A portable cot and baby booster feeding chair is available as well as a fold-a-way bed for that extra guest. Relax in a soothing spa in the timber lined bathroom enhanced by candle light. Both main bathroom and en suite are heated. There is off street parking for two or three cars.

Leura is a historic village with quaint little tea houses, craft and antique shops nestled amongst turn-of-the-century buildings. Leura retains its own distinct identity with a real village atmosphere. It has been given the name 'The Jewel in the Mountains Crown' and is also known as 'The Garden Village'. Bluebell cottage is just 1 kilometre from Leura Mall Shopping Centre. You can visit many fine restaurants in Leura. Katoomba is only a 5 minute drive. Bushwalking, golf courses, clubs are nearby as are the other major attractions the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains are famous for.

RELAX - UNWIND - ENJOY

Treat yourself to massage and spa treatments. There are several beauty treatment salons available in Leura and Katoomba. Details are available in our information folder at the cottage. An indoor Aquatic Centre and Gym in Katoomba is a great way to entertain the kids and get fit.

Take a trolley bus ride or a double decker bus which stop at all the main tourist attractions.

A peaceful well-appointed little oasis in a perfect setting!

This outstanding, peaceful little oasis in the Blue Mountains was perfectly situated to provide easy access to all the walks and sightseeing we planned. Extremely well-appointed, immaculately maintained with an awesome private bush garden, all within an easy stroll to Leura Mall, which is full of an amazing array of shops, markets and places to eat. Easy access to all the tourist attractions. Wish we could have stayed much longer. We'll definitely return!

Lovely bush cottage

The cottage had everything one would need for an Aussie adventure amongst the trees! So close to the mountains, sights and Leura Mall. Lots of birds and the gardens were a nice place to sit and relax. The cottage has an old charm to it and all amenities you could need. Loved the CD player! Also having some staple pantry supplies came in handy! Only thing is I think it's time for a new couch. I will definitely be back for some R&R.

Lovely property with a few drawbacks

A lovely home with great attention to detail. Valerie and John have thought of everything you could need. A few minor maintenance things that we fed back and I'm sure they'll fix. It is very close to Leura shopping center as advertised, but ... it's seriously steep with no walkways or lighting at night. It's not really walkable. And while there are 2 bathrooms as advertised, the 2nd bathroom which services the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms is located a long way away - right outside bedroom 1. But overall it's a great place to stay. If not wanting to walk into town and the bathroom configuration isn't an issue for you, then we would highly recommend.

Gorgeous cottage

Lovely property, with amazing wood fire AND heating. Snowed while we were there, made the experience that much better! Cold outside but toasty in. Great location! Can’t fault property at all.

Fantastic cosy house with everything included!

This fabulous house was perfect for exploring the Blue Mountains. Great location close to the Leura Mall and only a few minutes into Katoomba. House has everything including a coffee machine, electric blankets, heaps of linen, well equipped kitchen and even bird seed for the many birds visiting in the afternoon. Beautiful garden setting. Great place for a girls weekend!

We were thoroughly impressed with how well furnished the place was with everything you needed and added extras (eg bath salts, candles, bird seed to feed the native birds). The location was also excellent - just a short walk into Leura and yet nice and quiet.

I have always loved the Blue Mountains as a child it was very exciting to visit. Having grown up in North Sydney, close to the CBD it was the complete opposite to where I lived. Eventually when it became possible I managed to buy this property with the hope that others may have the opportunity to enjoy the ambience of Bluebell Cottage, the surrounding bush and all the native birds that frequently visit the property. Sometimes the noisy white cockatoos make a bit of a racket but they are so charming with their antics.

Why they chose this property

Bluebell Cottage was currently being built when I purchased it. I fell in love with it as from the whole back section the windows are large and overlook a terraced garden as well as huge mountain trees. The four seasons that we enjoy in Australia come to reality as all the foliage and outlook changes each season. The autumn is splendid when all the trees change into various colors and then drop all their leaves. The spring comes and all new green growth appears all renewed. Summer is much cooler than the city allowing a lot of outdoor activities to occur. Winter is the time to light up our wood fire and turn on the electric blankets. Usually sometime during the winter season we see some snow. Shops in Leura Village are quaint and interesting and great spots to enjoy good food and coffee.

What makes this property unique

I love it because it is spacious, comfortable a lot of our guests comment it is great because the feel so at home. One of our guests described it as being a large tree house sitting in the middle of a lovely garden. Many guests have commented that after a busy day either sightseeing or bush walking find it so relaxing to return home to.
