The loft house was in a gorgeous location with a huge deck where you can relax and take in nature. Inside was beautifully decorated, just be aware the toilet is downstairs from the bedroom which might be a bit tricky for some at night but there is a helpful nightlight. We loved it there.

The house was lovely and relaxing to stay in. Our only suggestions: 1. a mat to wipe your feet on inside the property (when we arrived it was raining heavily and there was nowhere to wipe our feet). 2. Directions to the property were a bit unclear. Janaza Retreat is located on a no through road that is no longer named (the street sign has been removed). We drove past the road unaware we’d missed the turnoff. Instructions explaining turn left at the first no through road would have made gettting to the property would have been useful.

Great location walking distance to Halls Gap township but feeling remote within nature. We spent most of our time on the large deck, enjoying the view. And most appreciated was being able to let our dog off leash on the gated deck.

We truly believe that the Grampians are best enjoyed outdoors amongst the beautiful nature so that’s why we built the fantastic raised outdoors deck area for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately this has limited our ability to have more outward looking windows to the downstairs living area.
