About this property

Intimate cottage near Acadia national park

We are in the country on a large lake away from the tourist crowds. Yet we are close enough to the national park, Bar Harbor, Northeast and Southwest Harbors, Blue Hill, Castine and other Downeast towns for easy day trips. Come enjoy the sounds of loons, waves and frogs at night. See stars without interference from city lights. Enjoy fishing and kayaking in the lake. Have fun exploring the hiking trails of Acadia, the bike and carriage paths, or the scenic roadways of the park. Visit the farmers’ markets, occasional craft show or the Blue Hill agricultural Fair around Labor Day. Or sit on the deck next to the lake, read a book , and relax.
We have two kayaks available for use at the cabin. They are equipped with paddles life vests and cushions.
