Laurel Inn 501 is a spacious 2BR condo with private balcony close to downtown

Laurel Inn Condos is located just 4 blocks from the main street of Gatlinburg. The property has a heated outdoor seasonal pool for your enjoyment. There is also free wireless internet. You have two ways to get back to the downtown area. If you take the sidewalk down Cherokee Orchard Road, then you will come out at Traffic light #6 near the Mountain Mall and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. There is also a wooden stairwell that is off the back of our complex that will connect you to Reagan Drive which will bring you out near Ripley's Believe or Not Museum. This unit is a two bedroom with a King bed in the master and a queen bed in the second bedroom. It also has a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The kitchenette consists of a full size refrigerator, microwave, Coffee Maker, and a 2 burner range stove

We love Laurel Inn

We have stayed at the Laurel inn for weekend getaways for many years. It never disappoints. I leave 5 stars for all catagories except the price. Our room was over $160 more for a one night stay since our last stay last year. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to continue to stay here if the prices remain at the level they’re at.

First is the water pressure in this unit's kitchen sink and showers was very low, making them almost unusable. Second is could not get in touch with property management when I had a question, because no checkout instructions were given or left on site. Called the office during listed business hours several times with no answer. Left a voicemail and still no call back, even days later. Had to hunt down Housekeeping to ask my question.

There is alot of stairs you will have to climb to get up from town so if you can't do stairs and plan on walking I wouldn't suggest this one.The king-size bed was real comfy but the queen was terrible, my mother ended up going and sleeping on the couch it was that bad.Being charged a hefty cleaning fee for staying one night is a little bit crazy. The place was clean and had lots of utensils and extra blankets and pillows. I would not pick this place as a first pick in staying, the steps and climbing the hills is hard on older people in our group but we didn't want to pay $20 to park in town.

There was a leak from the small bath toilet which was repaired. In addition the Lg. bathroom toilet handle was broken. Had to drive to the downtown and pay for parking.

Reviewer Comments: The condo was very clean but hard to rate this rental because there was a very issues that could be easily resolved. The king mattress is BAD! It sinks on both sides so we slept in separate beds because of this. It is EXTREMELY HARD to turn on the water in the master tub - you need a crowbar or someone very strong to pull the knob but it will come on. The coffee pot is NOT a pause and serve.We really liked the condo but these few things made our stay a bit of a challenge. These issues will be an easy FIX for the owner - JUST DO IT and you will have a winner! We would recommend this property after these few issues are resolved but in the current condition we would not.

We were able to walk to dinner, shopping, and downtown attractions. It was so nice to not have to hassle with downtown parking. It is a bit of a climb up stairs to re-enter the building - at least sixty steps, so it’s not for everyone. Our condo was clean and adequately furnished, and the pool was nice. Overall, it was a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

The location is convenient to town and there is a staircase to take you into town if you want to walk. We had everything we needed while we were there. One improvement would be the mattresses. They had a foam topper which was nice but the mattress itself sagged in the middle making it feel like a hammock. Other than that, the view was amazing and the property was clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this to our friends.
