Rejuvenate and relax in the serenity of this delightful cottage in the hills, just far enough away from the traffic and heat of Byron. Wake each morning to bird song and views of the rolling hills and ocean on the horizon. Enjoy the beaches, colour and diversity of Byron Bay and Bangalow.
The space:
The cottage is located in Coopers Shoot, a 15 minute drive into the town and beaches of Byron Bay, and a 10 minute drive to the cafes and cute shops in Bangalow and Newrybar. This is the perfect location if you want to enjoy the peace and beauty of Byron without the traffic and crowds of tourists. Set on the hillside, the cottage gets a cool breeze most days, even when Byron is steaming hot. We are also close to lots of farm stands where you can buy fresh produce each day.
The cottage has a beautiful 4 metre-wide covered deck overlooking the hills and the ocean on the horizon. The deck has a 2 day beds, lounge chairs and a dining table - perfect for lazing around on hot days, or eating your meals al fresco. Inside we have a fully equipped kitchen, and an open plan dining and lounge area. The cottage is also equipped with a washing machine and wifi. The queen bedroom upstairs shares the same sweeping view as the balcony. It opens onto the other sleeping area which has two single beds. Note that the single beds are not in a separate bedroom with a door. However, there is plenty of space and it is perfect for a family, or friends who don't need too much privacy.
The cottage is on a 4.6 hectare property, most of which is covered with bush, but there is plenty of open grassy areas for kids to play, or to kick a ball around. There are lots of beautiful birds and the occasional wallaby or echidna will come to visit.
Guest access:
The cottage is self-contained and private. There are no other homes on the property.

We recently stayed at the cottage for a few nights. It was in a lovely quiet location close to all the hotspots of the region.
Our favourite part was the large entertainment deck.
Thank you for accommodating us.
Absolutely stunning property with a beautiful view (over greenery but not the sea). Wraparound deck is very relaxing and a great place to have a glass of wine at the end of the day. One full bedroom and the other “bedroom” is actually the open loft. Be prepared to drag your suitcase up 2 flights of stairs but the view is worth it.
Loved the quiet location, fabulous view from the verandah and main bedroom east over the valley and farmland below towards the ocean. Loved the morning bird song, cows mooing in the distance and visits from shy wallabies. Byron, Suffolk Park and Broken Head Reserve all a short drive away. Very much liked that the accommodation wasn't too fussy or precious (no spa, marble bathroom, or lots of notes on do's and don'ts from the host, etc) and the kitchen was pretty well equipped with the basics. Cooper's Shoot is a lovely location and we hope to stay again in the future. Our regards to the host. Kerry and Vik
Decided last minute to go on a weeks Holiday to Byron . Googled Byron Hinterland , Found Ann’s Seaview cottage . . Very cute and private little country house with a real nice view to the ocean . Big deck with a day bed. Real nice sunrise and sunsets . Plenty of local Wallaby's come and say hello , and the bush Turkeys go about their business which adds to the country atmosphere. House has everything you need . We loved it . Spent a lot of time on deck reading and snoozing . If you’re after a relaxing country feel but still close to all the action . This is the place

The instructions were so easy to follow, and as we arrived later then planned it was dark and we were tired. But it took no time to open up and settle in.There have been comments about how much others have loved the veranda... but reading about it and experiencing it are 2 different things. Such lovely furniture to have a cuppa on and we really enjoyed cooking breakfast on the bbq and sitting around the outdoor dining table just taking it in.Our girls are 10 and 12 and were initially unsure about sleeping upstairs, but were super comfortable after there first night. Our furry friends were kept on the verandah or downstairs on their beds at night and just loved the space too.We would love to come and stay for a week to really explore the area more and have this gorgeous homebase to relax in. Thank you for everything.

Great location but not in a heat wave
The location close to beautiful local towns was great and we loved being able to take our dog with us. The views over the lawns to the trees is also very nice. You can see the sea standing up on the veranda only as the trees have grown. Unfortunately it was extremely hot when we stayed and there are no ceiling fans or aircon even in the bedroom. It was so uncomfortable we nearly packed up to go home early. We couldn’t even sit out on the veranda until late in the afternoon. Luckily it was a bit cooler on the last couple of days. The cottage is cute but in need of some maintenance and a deep clean. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the cooler days there.
Great location perched overlooking the coastline. Huge deck to sit out enjoying birds, wallabies and a beautiful view across a small valley to the ocean beyond. This cottage has one queen bed in the upstairs bedroom and 3 singles across the rest of the upstairs gabled common area.
The cottage is comfortable for a couple or small kid family. It has heaters but no aircon or ceiling fans. The kitchen has adequate space and utensils. No microwave. No dishwasher. The cottage needed a full spring clean of windows, screens and cobwebs in high corners and internal steps. This was not a deal breaker but needs a little TLC.
We had an amazing two nights at Ann’s cottage. The views were spectacular, and to be so close to Byron but staying in serenity was just a perfect experience. It was myself , my 13, 15 and 4 year old daughters and we all can’t wait to come back.
It was clean, well equipped with books and games, and a kitchen which had everything. The deck was massive with plenty of comfortable seating to take in the view.
Thank you so much :)
As restful as it looked on the website. Great place to stay. Great proximity to multiple lovely locations. Minor issues with communication (no response to text on first evening) meant we had to problem solve lack of hot water. Turned out that gas bottle needed swapping over.
We’ve just spent 8 days at this place and it was the perfect end of year holiday. The property was spotless and happily removed from the craziness of Byron Bay at end of year. Communication was easy, and we had total privacy.

Have stayed here several times years ago pre child. First time back in a while. Beautiful location.
Have always loved Ann’s Seaview Cottage, that’s why we have returned several times.
Absolutely beautiful location with great ambience.
Unfortunately this time there was a lot of stress caused by the check in process. Won’t go into details.
It’s a shame, because this trip was really needed to be anything but stressful and that’s why we chose this peaceful location.
We felt like we were being ‘checked up on’ by the property manager (plus one) who apparently came to deliver a gas bottle, but, then proceeded to tell us all the rules and made us feel a little unwelcome and uneasy.
I can understand property owners concerns renting their homes to strangers. But this is what a compendium is for, no need to drop by and deliver ‘the rules’ in person.
Great spot and good vibes. But, not sure we will return again because the booking process was stressful and the management style strange and a bit invasive.

Fantastic location, fab view with big deck and quaint house
The house was in the perfect location, on the hill with distant views of the ocean surrounded by green hills and trees and close to Byron and Bangalow. The house was quaint and had everything you need . The deck was fantastic with a lovely day bed and cushions . Videos books and gorgeous hand made ceramics was a lovely touch. Bed a little uncomfortable and beds upstairs bathroom downstairs but other wise gorgeous ..Thanks for the stay :)

Perfect getaway
We love Ann's Seaview Cottage as it's the best of both worlds. Beautiful country setting with spectacular views but also a quick trip to the beach. We came away feeling refreshed after enjoying a peaceful, restful stay. This property is perfect for a couples retreat or a family adventure. A secret hideaway with all you need at your fingertips. Easy to cook your own meals or eat out with a wide selection of restaurants close by. We love it!

Perfect retreat.
We stayed at Ann's while we attended a wedding. This quaint cottage was an ideal retreat featuring stunning views of the hinterland and coastline. The inside living space was great but we spent more time on the deck soaking up the tranquility. Getting luggage up the stairs to the sleeping quarters was a little difficult but the view was well worth the climb. Ann's is out of the way but just a short drive to Byron or Bangalow.

great space...... views
Beautiful quirky building with an impressive view and deck.
The first time in my life I have paid this much to stay in a place without linen. Otherwise beautiful. Buy some cheap sheets and towels and go there.....

Relaxing
Our friend was visiting from overseas and it was a last minute decision to spend a weekend in Byron Bay. Such a gorgeous place in an awesome spot. Only a short drive into town, but far enough away to feel like we're in our own universe. The cottage was warm and well maintained and we loved the view from a deck. We just switched off and relaxed and our Shelby the dog was racing around like happy crazy animal. Hope to return sometime soon. Thank you!
