About this property
High Meadow Cabin | Cute Cabin for 2
Location, location, location! Only six miles from Fredericksburg, three miles from Luckenbach and in close proximity to eight wineries, this is the perfect place to enjoy the Hill Country's “BEST”!!
The log portion of this structure is an old corncrib used in the 1800s. It was moved, in tact, to this place. The logs were "chinked" and local artisans carefully constructed the fireplace and chimney. In the "added-on" portion, old cabinets, doors and windows were salvaged from turn-of-the century buildings and used to create wonderful warmth and a feeling of pioneer days.
The log portion of the cabin is the living room with television and fireplace. The room is friendly and inviting and oh-so-beautifully decorated. The small kitchen comes next with its country charm and built-in practicality.
The bedroom is lovely and romantic with a king-size bed with custom made "elegant" linens and fresh curtains. The view from every window is a special treat. The bath has an old-footed tub to offer a luxurious soak to all that enter here. The owner who lives next door carefully and lovingly decorates the entire cabin.
There are two porches which are perfect for enjoying country life.
Things to be aware of:
- Motorcycles are not allowed at the property
- Your host lives on the property in a separate house that is near the cabin
- Livestock live on the property, so we ask that you close the gate as you come and go during your stay
- The cabin does not have internet access
Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.
