A Wonderful Visit

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The games room was fantastic and we also made use of the tennis court. We would certainly consider staying again.

Lovely ambience

Great property. From website expected pool and tennis court to be closer but may have misread. Loved all the platters and utensils - made catering very easy. Lovely ambience, so quiet with lots of kangaroos. Very close to all major vineyards. This was a great property for a group of friends and would equally suit families.

Hi Karen, We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Blue Cliff Retreat and so thoroughly enjoyed the well appointed kitchen. We always love to hear that our guests have taken full advantage of the relaxing atmosphere. The pool and the tennis court are resort style facilities of the estate where the property is located. It is hard to show this is photos but we have ensured the description of the property details this to avoid confusion. Karen, thank you so much for the fabulous feedback on the property and we hope to welcome you back to Blue Cliff Retreat or another one of our properties in the near future. Hunter Valley Stays Team.

Well laid out

The property was well suited to our group of 6. The house is very well laid out with a bedroom and bathroom wing and a living wing. The pool is within walking distance but is about 0.5km away. We were going to a concert but the bus would only pick us up from the start of the gated community so was about a 600m walk. The house was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Beautiful Property & Quiet

A very comfortable home that is actually part of an estate that has not been developed as yet, so it's incredibly quiet. The pool and tennis court were all ours for the weekend which was most enjoyable. It's 10mins drive from Pokolbin General Store so it was an excellent base for the wineries. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen incredibly well equipped. Wifi was great but in an effort to minimise its use (as requested) we had difficulty in using personal hotspots. Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine is provided, but the coffee pods are not nearly as good as Nespresso (to our taste). We loved our stay and would recommend to others.

Large home great for groups

The large kitchen, dining and lounge areas make this fab for groups. Some of the fittings are a little dated but overall a great place to stay.

Best location

The place was great, plenty of room/space, amazing location - central and quiet. The house was jam-packed with all the appliances and products we needed. Only thing was the house was too dusty and the wifi didnt work. Double check the online gate closing and opening time, as well as check-out time with the seasons - it wasnt updated when I booked and neither were the emails I received. However, when I called Stayz about it, they were more than accommodating to us for the mix up.

Hi Ninva. Thank you for being our guest at Blue Cliff Retreat - it was our pleasure to host you and your guests here for the weekend. Thanks also for your feedback, which we do appreciate. Due to the very high winds we experienced over the weekend the levels of dust were higher across the valley. We will have the WiFi checked too along with the correspondence regarding the gate opening and closing times to ensure that all future guests can enter and depart the property with ease. It was our pleasure to assist you when you called the office and we look forward to hosting you again soon. With thanks from the Team at Hunter Valley Stays.

Great property

Apart from the misleading photo of the pool. We thought it was in the back yard and hence why I booked the place but it was actually about 1km away from the actual house. The house was beautiful and peaceful.
Response from VrboOwner on 31 Mar, 2020
Hi Nadia. Thank you for your review from your stay and we're thrilled to read that you found this beautiful house nice and peaceful. With regards to the pool, we do reflect the location and distance from the house of these shared estate facilities in the description of the property, however we will review these to ensure that all future guests are away of the short walk required. Again, thank you for your time in leaving your review and we do look forward to welcoming you back again as our valued guest. With thanks from the Team at Hunter Valley Stays.

We had a girls weekend in the Hunter. Location was perfect - so close to all the wineries and restaurants. The layout of the house was great - rooms away from living areas. Plenty of room to move around, modern, great outdoor space, amazing views gorgeous.
