Perfect Cozy House

North Captiva Island

North Captiva Island is a slice of paradise. Marie made our first time to the island a breeze with my many questions! Outdoor shower and heated pool were our family’s favorites!

Winter in Paradise

This house was perfect for our little winter get away. The property was just as it was advertised! It is just a short walk to the beach and we thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool in the late afternoon. Chris was so helpful throughout the rental process and during our stay. We can't wait to come back to Lanikai!!

Lanakai Paradise

We found a piece of paradise in our week at Lanakai on North Captiva. The house was perfect! The pool was a big plus! The property was beautiful and so close to the beach that we could hear the waves from the screened in porch in the evening! The owner was very friendly and helpful! Thank you for a wonderful week in paradise!!

Excellent stay on North Captiva

This property has everything you need for a relaxing stay on North Captiva. The short walk to the beach and heated pool were the highlights. We enjoyed the rooftop at night and the convenience of the golf cart for getting around and picking up food, drinks and gifts at the NCI Club marina. The setting of the property felt very private even though there were other houses nearby. We also appreciated the use of the available beach gear which included chairs, umbrellas and a double kayak. The electric grill worked well and the outdoor seating areas were a real plus.

Heaven on earth!

I stumbled upon North Captiva Island looking for a trip for my family. We have 2 young kids so the hustle of Sanibel or other busier beach towns would be lost to us because all the kids want to do is play on the beach and swim and then crash after dinner! NCI looked like the perfect quiet retreat for us to unplug and enjoy the sun and each other. Because of our work and school schedule, we needed a midweek rental and Lanikai just so happened to offer very flexible dates. Not only was this our first trip to NCI, but also my first time using VRBO. Marie was amazing at walking me thru the entire process. She’s responsive and sweet and accommodating and full of helpful travel tips. The home was so comfortable for us and had all the amenities we needed and then some. Great water pressure in all 3 showers, glorious and clean heated pool for pre and post beach swims, charcoal grill with charcoal included, tons of towels and floaties and beach toys… We took the sea kayak out once-that was quite the process. I think next time I’ll just rent one from the Boats store next to Mangos and go by myself rather than drag the Lanikai kayak all the way to and from the beach but still it’s nice to have and was a great workout! The golf cart was handy tho we did get stuck in the sand about once a day. Once we figured out how to avoid the sand pits, it was better. Maybe bigger tires would help I’m not sure! Either way, not enough of an issue to detract from our stay. It became slightly comical and good way to meet other vacationers as we banded together to push the cart out! We cooked almost every meal-the kitchen is well equipped and the knives are actually nice and sharp, not your typical rental castaway knife set. Check in was a breeze-Marie allowed us to come in early and check out was easy too. We only were asked to start the laundry and dishwasher. I’m used to being asked to do more with rentals so that was almost too easy! I would suggest more furniture on the roof deck with an umbrella so we can enjoy it more but with the winds that pick up that may not be a possibility. We looked at stars in the evening and I did sunrise yoga with coffee twice on the roof with a slight sea view. Overall, I couldn’t ask for more. We’ve already penciled in dates for next year. Thank you Marie for your home and hospitality!

Amazing vacation

This was my first time to N. Captive. My husband and I had a great time exploring the island in the golf cart. We loved everything about our stay. The house was just perfect and the pool was a must have for us. We absolutely loved the location. Everyone was right about the outside shower. We never even tried the inside shower at all because the outside shower was so great. Marie was so helpful with all my questions. My husband and I will definitely be back, still lots of exploring to do.

Beautiful Island - Fabulous Stay

House is exactly as advertised! The pool is fabulous, proximity to beach is perfect. Owner is fantastic and incredibly attentive. This was perfect for a relaxing getaway for the two of us… will return. Soon I hope!

Perfect family home away from home

Marie’s Lanikai was a wonderful place for our week away as a family. We loved being able to walk to the beach and enjoyed the outside shower daily! The pool was awesome on high wind days. Clean and comfortable with just enough room to spread out but still be connected. We also annoyed the kayak. Marie was excellent to communicate with along the way. Thank you!

Amazing place for our honeymoon!

Marie was an excellent host. She gave us exact instructions on how to get to the island and get our golf cart. We loved all of the amenities and adorable decorations. Our favorite aspects are a 3 way tie: proximity to the beach, the outdoor shower, and the awesome pool!!!!

Vacation Rental for Grandparents

We rented this property for our parents - right next door to all of their grandchildren. It provided a quiet escape when they needed it, near the beach with a view and all of their own amenities, including a pool. Plus, all living space on one floor - this was perfect for them! The communication with the host was great. We highly recommend this property.

Lanikai beach house was wonderful!

Lanikai is a very nice beach house. It’s proximity to the beach is perfect. The pool is a wonderful amenity. Everything was clean and perfect upon arrival. Marie is the best host. Would not hesitate to rent again.

Relaxing Getaway

Great Weekend away

We had the best stay and the house was perfect for 2 couples! Close to everything with the golf cart to get us there! Pool was fantastic and we loved the view from the rooftop! Could not have asked for more and Marie was an exceptional host when we had any questions! Would highly recommend!

Another stay in captiva

This was our 3rd yr on NCI and we had to book very late with all going on in the world. Marie was wonderful and a great host the house was as described and well taken care of. The pool is a great private refresher from the 90 degree days. Great stay!
