Island Oasis/Hidden Beach House-Private pool

This traditional, Florida-style island cottage is situated less than 200 yards down a private path to the Gulf of Mexico. This home has only one elevated, single-level, floor plan providing ease of access and family-friendly living. It is designed to provide the utmost comfort while capturing the scenic beauty around it.

Features include: Outdoor living environment includes a heated pool with wrap around wooden deck, covered outdoor bar, pool table, barbecue and eating area. The relaxing and stylish interior retreat has a spacious private master suite with study/sitting area and master bath, along with two additional bedrooms in a split floor plan, and a second large bath. Sleeps six with one king, one queen, and two twin beds. A convenient utility room with washer and dryer adjoins the kitchen.


The village of Upper Captiva: The village of Upper Captiva sits on the northern tip of North Captiva Island, a secluded tropical island in Southwest Florida. This bridge-less island is unique among the sandy coastal barrier islands of Florida. North Captiva Island is surrounded by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Pine Island Sound, about six miles off the mainland of Florida. Boca Grande lies to the north and Captiva and Sanibel lie to the south.

This tropical island is one pearl in the necklace of 'outer islands' embracing Pine Island Sound. Access is only by boat or private airplane. No cars! No crowds! This has assured that the island remains unspoiled and unhurried. Its sandy beaches are decorated with an endless supply of driftwood and seashells surpassing that of the legendary Sanibel/Captiva beaches. Our family had a great stay at the Hidden Beach House! The house had everything you needed for fun days at the beach and pool. We really enjoyed using the new Blackstone grill on the pool deck. The kitchen was stocked well. Check in and out was very easy. Pat was very easy to work with and was responsive to all questions and messages.

Hidden Beach = Hidden Gem

We loved our stay at Hidden Beach Cottage. The location was fantastic - the beach at the end of the lane is now much wider than pre hurricane Ian. The cottage itself was well laid out and had a well stocked kitchen. Lots of great outside space including nice pool area and screened in porch. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We had another lovely visit to Hidden Beach Home—this was our third time staying here, and it continues to be a favorite spot on North Captiva. The host was excellent, with prompt and helpful communication both before and during our stay, which made everything smooth and easy.The home itself is well-equipped, though this time we noticed an abundance of kitchen items, pool floats, and other extras that felt a bit excessive. While it's great to have options, streamlining some of these could make the space feel more organized and guest-friendly.The new golf cart was a nice upgrade and ran beautifully. However, our group included several shorter adults who found it challenging to get in and out of the cart comfortably. We ended up improvising a step to make it easier for everyone. A built-in step or stool might be a helpful addition for future guests.Overall, we had a wonderful vacation—peaceful, relaxing, and full of great memories. We would absolutely stay here again and appreciate the care that goes into maintaining this home.

Delightful home away from home...

It felt like home... what a great place to get away, relax and have a fabulous time. From the initial conversations with the owners, to the friendly staff who greeted and helped us when we arrived on the island (and during our stay), to the greeting basket and comfortable furnishings, we were well taken care of. The house is a short walk or very short cart from the beach. The deck is very nicely designed. It's all right there for hanging out, grilling out, cleaning up from the beach, playing pool or darts. We stayed there with our 10-month-old and also enjoyed having friends over who were staying in a higher-end house with fewer amenities. I highly recommend Hidden Beach House and would gladly stay there again.

Perfect place to truly relax!

We went on a cruise 2 years ago and this was the exact opposite of that.... no crowds, quiet, peaceful, laid-back vibe. Every picture I sent to my friends and family they asked "are you guys literally the only ones on this island because that's what it looks like!" The space in the home was perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the pool and we loved the screened in porch! We saw many dolphins just off the shore at Sunset beach and manatees in the canal. My kids loved our night time rides on the back of the golf cart coming home from a gorgeous sunset. Could not have asked for better weather this week too! Pat had everything we needed and things we didn't even think about. Truly fully stocked...crockpot, ice cream maker, all sorts of spices in the cupboard, sunscreen in case you forgot, pool floaties, sand toys, games, and much more. Such a great experience! Thanks for opening up your home Pat!!

Hidden hideaway

This was a perfect vacation! Very relaxing yet not at all boring. Lots of laughter and good memories. Pat’s place is beautiful and she is a dream to work with. I would highly recommend her and her property. Very easy to understand instructions on how to get to the island and obtain groceries. Everything worked perfectly.

Great home!

My teenage daughters, my husband and I just returned from 7 glorious days on NCI and we can’t wait to return! The home was clean and well stocked. I would suggest more beach towels and some new pool floats as all of them were popped or broken. Also a new REAL cooler and not a handle-less styrofoam one, would have been very helpful as well! Other than that everything was perfect! Thanks Pat for your warm hospitality and beautiful home!

Paradise found at the Hidden Beach House

First of all, Pat was so wonderful with her communication as stated in other reviews. She responded to all my questions & was very helpful. We enjoyed the house so much! Has everything you would need for an excellent island experience. Only a few minor glitches that were handled right away. We loved using the bikes, kayaks, the outdoor pool & game area. It worked out perfectly for our group! The house was stocked nicely & Pat even had a nice welcome basket. We’re planning to return without a doubt.

North Captiva stole our hearts! This house was a great location and had a wonderful outside area next to the pool with games and a tiki bar that was very fun to hang at. The pool was great for us because we had a 9 month old who needed to be at the house to nap a few times a day. We also selected this house for proximity to the beach and the baby crib (pack and play) and high chair seat. The house itself inside didn’t have any frills but we chose it for the outside area and the screen porch which were both great! The host was very communicative and the island was very easy to navigate with the golf cart provided. My only complaint was that the beds squeaked, especially the queen one. Also, if you are coming to get good internet, don’t hold your breath. Apparently this house had better service than a lot on the island but that is the joy of being on vacation and unplugging.

Relaxing Getaway!

Lovely! Beach house is warm and inviting! Short walk to beach. Swimming pool was heated and so enjoyable anytime of day. This is a haven away from busy, hectic life! Very rejuvenating getaway. Comfortable, Bright House on a Great Island

We just came back from a week at Jose's Hideaway. Pat was very helpful and the house was just perfect for our family reunion. We had a couple of dinners outside by the pool and everyone was happy. We've stayed at four other houses on the island and this is our favorite!

Incredible week on the beach!

My family just spent 7 nights staying with Pat and we had a wonderful week! In my opinion, Pat's house is on the best part of the island where a 4 mins walk from the house to the beach led us to an almost private white sanded beach. We watched dolphins and manatees from the beach, and enjoyed breath-taking sunsets. Pat supplies an endless option list of ways to set-off on our adventures. From 4 kayaks, bikes of every size, kids' sand toys, to sun chairs and an umbrella, there is something for everyone. The use of the golf cart was a great way to tour the island. The house itself is the perfect size for a family of 4 or 5 (we have 2 teenagers, so each had a bedroom). We loved being able to come back after a day on the beach to grill, play in the private pool, throw cars, and play a game of pool. My favorite part of the house was the huge screened-in porch where I sat in the mornings and where we ate meals. The kitchen was well-stocked for people who enjoy cooking. Pat was quick to respond to any questions and helped me figure out the ferry schedule. We would absolutely come back to visit and hope to do so again soon!

Relaxing Family Holiday

This was the perfect property for our family. It is in a nice location on the island and a short comfortable walk to the beach. The house is well taken care of and nicely appointed. We rented an extra cart from the owner. Both of theirs are lifted witch came in handy during the brief rain showers. Any questions we had got a quick reply back from the owner. I strongly recommend this home and will probably be there again next year.

Great Trip

We had a great second visit to North Captiva! Pat and her home were exactly what we were looking for! The location is great and the home is well equipped. Pat is very accommodating. We would highly recommend and will visit again!
