About this property
Jecks Beachside accomodation
Accommodating 6 people this is a home that offers everything you need for a perfect "home away from home" kind of holiday.
The space
Accommodating 6 people there are 2 separate bedrooms featuring Queen beds, and another 2 areas with a set of bunk beds in each. Jecks also features a fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
A bathroom plus separate shower and toilet facilities, and an inviting lounge/dining area with views across the cottage garden.
You'll find a great place to relax on the front deck with a glass of wine to watch the sunset over the ocean while the Barbie sizzles....at the right time of the year the whales are even spotted without even having to move!!
Alternatively cook up a storm in our fully equipped kitchen. The lush backyard provides the perfect area for the kids to play, and even has a cubby to hide in. It's fully fenced so they can't escape and you can chill.
Just a leisurely 5 minutes stroll along the ocean boardwalk is the river mouth, where you can fish on the Jetty or grab a cuppa at Colourpatch cafe (Which offers free wifi)
Alternate Free Wifi locations are at Blackwood river cafe and Deckchair Cafe
(We don't offer wifi at the house as we want you to switch off everything and enjoy what nature has to offer without the distractions!!)
Make sure you keep an eye out for the local Pelicans and Dolphins that abound in the river. If you're an early bird, don't miss the sunrise over the river mouth. It's spectacular.
Stroll 5 minutes in the opposite direction where you will reach the picturesque historic township of Flinders Bay. Take a swim in one of the secluded beaches along the way, or spend time exploring the attractions in town whilst watching the children play on the beautifully landscaped foreshore.
As you comb the beach you will enjoy the abundant sea and bird life that make their home along this coast line. You may even be lucky enough to spot the whales during their migration. A perfect spot for this is the strategically placed seat located at the “Landing Place”. Check out the stone monument whilst there, and absorb the full history of this iconic area.
Linen is to be supplied by the guests or alternatively linen can be supplied at $25 per person for the duration of the stay.
