We really enjoyed our stay. We loved Smokey the horse, donkeys, highland coos and the chickens. The rooms, crockery and cutlery could have been cleaner, but we were nice and warm. Check in was easy as.

We had a fabulous time at the cabin and our little boy thoroughly loved feeding all the animals each day. He had a great time and Eloise was very helpful and accomdating. The location is beautiful and the views from the cabin gorgeous. The pictures need a little updating as they dont do justice as it is nicer than what is shown in some pictures. Birthday weekend

Absolutely amazing weekend away at the hunter river retreat. Exceeded all of our expectations and Troy and Eloise were always available to answer any questions. The true highlight was not just the cottage but having the animals around us. Would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

Scenic getaway

The pictures on the website hardly do justice to the real experience. The location is fabulous, so scenic and secluded at the same time. The hosts are friendly and there are adequate instructors in and around the property. The cabin is rustic, but beautiful, just what you’d want for a stay of this nature. The spa is great and amazing for relaxing after a winery tour. The only problem was that our stay got over too soon !! Highly recommend this place

Lovely

A simply gorgeous spot with a beautiful view. The spa bath on the deck is a fantastic way to unwind. Cute, rustic cabin surrounded by both domestic animals and wildlife which is nice. Lots of nice little touches in the cabin to make it feel homely. Eloise is an excellent host who is easy to communicate with and replies to messages promptly.
