PROS: The appartment is excellent, well appointed, efficient in its offerings. Very proximate to the Picton harbour and downtown. Lovely shower, nice sitting room, good wifi. CONS: It's presumptuous to have a mandatory question in this review about winery experience...it's possible each guest does not visit a winery(?) It was impossible to ignore sounds in the random wee hours of each night made by co-dwellers of the building walking around and talking. THe deadbolt needs to be aligned for smoother operation.
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was well equipped and description was mostly accurate. We found that the bedrooms were quite warm as the portable A/C did not reach bedrooms. The host responded to our questions very quickly.
We had a pleasant stay and found the property well-equipped with everything we needed for our 2-night visit. The location is excellent—close to Main Street—and check-in/out was simple and hassle-free. Communication with the host was also excellent, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like shampoo, soap, and conditioner, which we didn’t expect. This could have easily been a 10/10 stay, but unfortunately the bedding cleanliness was a concern. While the sheets were fresh and clean, both bedrooms had a lingering sweat odor coming from the pillows and duvets. It’s something that could easily be missed unless cleaning goes beyond just changing sheets. Given that a cleaning fee was included, the odor was disappointing and did affect sleep quality. With attention to this detail, it would be an outstanding place to stay.
This place was as cute as the photos. It was clean when we arrived and the photos are true to life.
The only issue I felt is because the kitchen does not have a dishwasher you are relying on people before you to have cleaned dishes, cutlery and glasses thoroughly, but it was evident when we arrived this was not the case. A dishwasher is a must for a rental for hygiene purposes.
Other than that the space was super cute, roomy and comfortable.

Best thing about the place was the location. We have been to many vrbo properties over decades and this was not the worst, but far from the best. With one air conditioner, the bedrooms were not cooled. No washer/dryer or dishwasher, which would have been useful, especially in a beach resort. There were no shelves or drawers to put clothes. Kitchen was adequately equipped. The fixtures seemed to be chosen for looks rather than function. By far the worst, and potentially dangerous, issue was the shower/tub, which was so high it was nearly impossible to get into if you are under 5 foot 7. The taller ones had to help the shorter ones in order to allow them to use the shower and not slip and fall. At the bare minimum there should be a step and grab bars, but it would still be hazardous. There should be a warning about this. Also, it appears that the handle which turns on the water for the shower had broken and was replaced by a garden hose knob which was almost impossible to turn without wrapping it in a washcloth. All in all, not what we would expect from vrbo, especially at the price we paid with all taxes and fees.
The Property was very cute, quaint as in the pictures online of the interior. The exterior needs some work, and does not look appealing when you arrive. It looked a little bit sketchy when you first arrive. However, the nice interior and walking distance to the shops and restaurants on Main St. Picton was as stated. There is a unit air conditioning in the living room that works very well, however it does not reach the one bedroom very well, which remains quite warm. There are 2 large fans provided by the owner which we used in the bedrooms. The white towels, soaps, lotions, shampoos were very nice, natural organic vibe which goes with the PEC region. It was a very rustic, boutique hotel feel with the design and small details. Wifii worked very well- which was important for my family. Beds were very comfortable, clean white sheets, pillows- a definite plus. I felt 4 people was probably the maximum- thinking 6 bodies would feel cramped. Communications with owner was fast and responded to quickly. Overall, a nice place to stay at, close to the Main Street area of Picton.
We stayed in a lovely two bedroom in Picton with our family. The accommodations were newly and nicely renovated and the owner communicated clearly. The whole process from checkin to checkout was the right fit for our long weekend in PEC.
Felt truly at home. Though not the most expensive or luxurious, absolutely my favourite, most comfortable, homey home-away-from-home I've ever stayed at.
