We are so glad you enjoyed your stay thawing out at our place in Florida. We look forward to having you visit again :)
Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. The pool and patio were outstanding. Communication with owner was top notch. I would go back there without a second thought.
The house was perfect for our needs! We were pleasantly surprised to find the two pull out couches for our kids. The pool was amazing and super fun-the kids swam day and night. The house was clean and spacious. We would stay there again if we are in the area again.
Enjoyed staying here with my husband, daughter and her son. It was nice to have two bedrooms and two baths. One of the bedrooms had more of a suite feel because it included the bed, sofa and it’s own shower, commode and sink area and it had access to the patio and pool area. The house was clean, and comfortable.
This is the 2nd straight year we stayed at this property. Overall the house was very clean, it was just outside the pool lanai that was an eyesore. The pool person was very friendly and kept the pool temp constant and the pool clean. Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice Fla stay.
Door from garage to inside house doesnt lock. Handyman is around often and his is very nice. Pool has lots of ants to scoop everyday, i think that is just Florida though. and even though heated it wasnt turned on till day we arrived and turns off at night so it has to reheat each day. Only used 3 times for about 20 minutes until the last day which we turned up to 92 but heated to 84, unusually colder weather in Florida. House looks to be in remodel stage no doors on closet. Bathroom walk-in shower was great. No bugs inside, and bed was comfortable. Pictures on site should be updated no longer a pink kitchen. We did by batteries for firealarm and our own dish soap as there was not any available. Access to cleaning supplies would be helpful as was very dusty and floors should be mopped socks were very dirty. Overall these were small things and had a great stay. Easy access ti restuarants and stores.

So glad you had a great stay! Thanks for all the feedback. In the future, if you just give us a message on the vrbo app, we can resolve any issue you may have during your stay. Unfortunately, after your stay, there isn’t much we can do for you. Bugs do happen, but if you notify us we can have it treated. If the weather is extra cold and the pool heater isn’t keeping up we can adjust that. Thanks for noticing, the house was remodeled. The bi-fold doors were removed due to multiple guests breaking them:( We will make sure to delete the old pics(app wouldn’t let us last time we tried). Again, so glad you had a great stay, however a three star rating is seen by vrbo as an unsatisfactory rating. Hopefully next time we can communicate and accommodate you better and earn a five star rating.
This house is a very welcoming place, and more spacious feeling than we expected. There was a gift "basket" to greet us as we walked in, and of course lounging in the beautiful pool and Lanai felt absolutely decadent. Pool toys and floatation vests for children are provided, and the house interior has beach decor everywhere you look. And the air conditioning was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay :)

Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your kind & wonderful feedback on our beloved tropical paradise.
We really enjoyed our stay we spent all of our time outside in the lanie and in the pool,,our only w
We really enjoyed our time outside in the lanie and in the pool every day the only concern was the tile flooring if there was any water on it the floor was like ice i slipped and i fell on the floor and hurt my wrist, it could have been worse, but otherwise the house and everything else was great, just should do something about the floor
The house was beautiful very charming with all the Florida Beach decor! The inclosed pool was the main attraction!! Its close to many attractions. We were able to go to Tom and Jerrys air boating, Clearwater Beach, Weeki Wachee River, rented a pontoon at Skelton Key marina and got to see the sand bar and Anclote Keys on the Gulf of Mexico. We used this home for a family summer vacation. It is in a quite neighborhood and we do have a loud bunch so, that was my main concern. Other than that, the house is very clean, the bed space and comfort, all the little things the owners make sure to have there really makes a big difference! I give this a 5 Star review!
The house is centrally located to
many beaches, restaurants and things to do. It's in a family neighborhood that is quiet and there is walmart literally across the street. The house is right off the main highway. It has a washer and dryer which is a must for us. Stocked Kitchen and charocoal grill for cooking. It was very reasonably priced for people on a budget having a pool and the convenience of things. Also, the pool is shaded in the afternoon which is a plus. It was clean when arrived and stocked. Even had extra shampoo and body wash if you forgot yours. Was able to get in contact with the owners when I had questions. They answered my messages within 5 mins. They also left us a little gift basket at check in. If you stay you won't be disappointed.

Hudson House ID 921447
The house worked well for us in terms of its space. Some challenging things: No toaster, not enough blankets for numbers staying. We had to purchase many things. Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap. It really doesn't sleep 6. The "pull out couch" did not sleep two, but rather it is a futon. The pool was dirty. This was our first experience with a VRBO and maybe we were to bring all of the above items, not sure.

We have a toaster. At that time our cleaning staff placed 4-6 rolls of toilet paper and starter dishwasher soap and should have been a roll of paper towels. We are so sorry if there was some kind of mistake, otherwise if you run out please let us know and we will work with you. We have resolved the issue with the pool and have sufficient blankets and bedding for 6. We apologize you must not have seen the queen size air mattress in the guest room closet. Since your stay we have added a twin size folding bed also in the guest closet.
1. code for entry - not in welcome email - had to contact
2. pool was not heated
3. grill was not clean - did not use - new grill was supplied
4. mattress in one bedroom was upsidedown - slept on coils until found out - them had to flip to right side ourselves
5. not given complete wifi information - in order to acess needed two entries (the password and code) only got password - figured out code myself.
There were five adults and there was plenty of room. The house was easy to find, neighborhood was quiet and friendly.
Inside the house was welcoming, well stocked kitchen for all the cooking needs. The two bedrooms and two baths were great. The pool and pool area was fantastic, could not ask for a better area to spend a sunny Florida day.
Although my vacation plans were changed because of an unexpected medical issue with my partner, I have to say the house was very nice in a nice, quiet neighborhood. All the stores & restaurants were close by & so is the hospital!
The heated pool was great in the enclosed
Screened area. I would stay there again.
The location sits behind businesses and often, in the evening, you could hear something or someone moving in the brush and trees. The house is spotless, but the bathrooms have a faint smell of urine. Our biggest complaint was the TV service. Though it is advertised as cable, it is not. Wires from the TV hang out the window and a cable wire must be moved to get any kind of signal. The TV service of maybe 8 channels is good during the day but about 7-8PM, there is no signal - no channels for the rest of the evening.
At the pool, a sign is hung up stating no food or glass. Why is a table and chairs placed by the pool if you can't eat there? Very confusing!
We are making many more trips to Hudson in the future, but we will not return here.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. Actually our house doesn't sit behind a business but a large vacant jungle filled property with a lake. There are businesses on highway 19, not close to our house and a brewery about 10 houses away. We have investigated noises in the jungle in the past and have found mostly squirrels, armadillos, a sea otter, and neighbors have on rare occasion spotted an alligator. The house was cleaned the day you checked in. In the future please notify your host while on site so something like this can be immediately investigated and resolved.. We have never had this feedback before. We will notify our cleaning staff. Thank you for mentioning that the house was spotless, our cleaning staff works very hard and take great pride in their work. I would like you to let us know where it is advertised as having cable. I just reviewed our description and it said we have a digital antennae for over the air channels(but for less confusion I have added "no cable and there is a roku on site") The antennae worked fine for us during our stay in December. We will work on securing this antennae, but we find that if its adjustable we can get different channels or strengthen signal. We also use the Roku. Previous guests have rolled out the glass dining room table into the pool area. We purchased this table to alleviate this undesirable activity. Nobody has ever mentioned any confusion or issue with our sign. Again, in the future, if you have an issue or any confusion, contact your host and a good host can clear up any worries or confusion. Btw, we recommend this in our welcome letter you received before check-in. We are so glad you enjoyed our beautiful part of the country and plan to return again and again, even if with someone else. It really is a special destination. If I could change your review, I would mark you less than 5 stars for communication.
We had a great time, everything was as stated. Property was well equipped, close to shops, restaurants, beaches and parks. Pool is heated, good for colder times, plenty of pool toys.
We would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a nice house and private pool. It was very clean and the owner worked with us planning our last-minute trip to Bonati Institute. It was only 2 miles from the clinic and very convenient to groceries, gas, eating, beaches, walmart, etc. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable.
Heated pool was awesome. House has plenty of room. Kitchen stocked well with everything you need to cook and eat with. Plenty of stores and restaurants within minutes, especially liked the craft brewery just around the corner (5 minute walk). Would highly recommend.
We were looking for a place to hang out for the week with our young adult and teen kiddos. The pool was what attracted us to the listing. It was a great place to just hang out and enjoy some family time. The property was very clean and was equipped with the things we needed for the week. The washer and dryer were a nice plus. We frequented the ice cream parlor, day tripped to the sponge docked and Anclote River Park, and spent an afternoon on kayaks from Salty Dog kayak rentals in Port Richey.
The property was in a very nice quiet neighborhood. The house is very spacious, with lots of room and a beautiful open floor plan. The bedrooms were also large and well appointed. It was also a pleasant surprise to find that the house was well stocked with just about anything you could possibly need. You just had to replace what you used. Would recommend this property to my friends. The care taker was awesome and very friendly.

About the host
Hosted by Peter Larsen
We have been married 33 years in April and have two grown children. We love to travel and play in the water. We are both veterans of the USAF and business owners in Colorado. We have worked very hard all our lives and now look forward to semi retiring if the Lord allows. We love people and enjoy making new friends.
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because of it's peaceful location and it's not too far away from dear friends. I said I wanted palm trees and a pool and he wanted near as he could get to the water so this house was perfect. It's older but cozy and everything works.
What makes this property unique
The palm trees in the front welcome me and give me instant peace. The screened in pool and patio offer rest and relaxation. The quiet neighborhood makes it all possible to just unplug and be revived. I love sitting in the chairs on the patio/lanai and just looking into the forest of green behind the pool.
