What makes this property unique
Things we like to do in the local area
• Portsea Hotel / Pub - only 5 minute walk
• Front beach – 5 minute walk by cutting through Delgany Ave (one side street toward front beach) to Fishermans Beach which is also referred to as “The Cutting”. This is a lovely bay beach with beach boxes
• Portsea General Store in Portsea Village (5 minute walk down Back Beach Rd) – you can buy nice coffee, bread, muffins, newpapers etc.
• Portsea Oval and Tennis Courts (public) – 5 minute walk is a lovely oval for kids and walk up newly laid tennis courts you can use for free.
• Shelly Beach – this is a lovely beach with shallow water.
• Point Nepean National Park. This is a nice way to spend a day. You can park at Quarantine Station or Gunners Cottage (further toward the point) and take a walk along the paths. You can also take a bus or ride to Fort Nepean where you explore the ruins and get great views across to Queenscliff.
• If you are into your running/ walking you can leave the house, Delgany Ave to entrance to Point Nepean National Park. About 500 meters along the National park road there is a turn off to Wilson Folly Track. This track takes you across the park toward London Bridge and Back Beach .
• London Bridge – pools to swim in or look for shells and sea life
• Back beach cliff walk - Sorrento Back Beach to Blairgowrie.
• Secret cliff top walk – For an up-close glimpse of cliff top properties and lovely view around the bay. Drive along Point Nepean Road toward Sorrento and about 3 kms turn left at Point King Rd. Drive to an area where you can park cars. Walk about 15 meters toward the bay and open a gate in the wooden fence. The path leads passed houses on your left and beautiful views of the bay on your right all the way to Shelly Beach. This is public land that most don’t know about.
• Sorrento Yacht Club beach – about 1 km on the other side of Sorrento. A great beach with shallow water. Buy rolls/snacks from kiosk.
