Weekend Fishing Getaway

My husband and I stayed for the weekend and fished in the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers. The cabin is very cute and there is a lot to explore in the area.

Unique place to stay

We enjoyed this unique lodge! Decorated with hunter/antiques:) Bed were comfortable and clean. The upstairs bedroom has low ceilings for adults but a dream for little children. Appreciated the toys she had for grandchildren! Owner is very nice!

Bovard Lodge

The cabin was wonderful. Close to the casino, river, Madison and not far from Cincinnati or the slopes. The owner was amazing. She thought of everything. There were comfy blankets for cuddling up by the fire. A wonderful firepit, corn hole boards, movies and games for all of us.

100% Pleased and truly maybe the best rental I have ever stayed at!

Buddy and I went down to tour some disilleries in the area. We arrived and were immediatley impressed with our lucky selection of a property. We quickly learned we should have brought the spouses to enjoy it with us. What a great place and the hosts couldnt be better! They comunicated regulary, offered suggestions and had every detail to a T! A welcome book, several outside areas set up with firewood, games, cards, etc. the list goes on and on. 100% will return with the family for this retreat!

Cozy Lodge

Rosemary has a beautiful home, filled with so many unique items. The pictures do not showcase just how beautiful the home is. We were amazed when we opened the door. The kids loved the loft area. Check in and communication with the host were easy. We loved all the lodge had to offer and thoroughly enjoyed playing in the yard, catching fireflies and watching the deer in the field. Sunsets were beautiful. The lodge was easy driving distance to the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. We chose the scenic country route and were not disappointed. Just down the road you can go to the riverfront in VeVay and walk the beach. Our trip was lovely. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home Rosemary!

Cleanliness is a requirement

The house was cute but sat near the road. Upper lift had low ceiling- adults could not stand. Fireplaces were gas and could not be regulated. We could endure these things but kitchen didn’t meet our standards. Silverware drawer was dirty. All dishes were mismatched, And old. Skillets had badly scratched Teflon coatings. I washed everything before I used it and we left after one night.

Perfect place for Girls Trip! The cabin had everything!

We went to the Ark Experience and had a great drive to and from! The cabin is adorable and has everything you could need for a get away! We enjoyed the back porch! The deer and cats were fun to watch!

Great Stay!!

We loved this little spot. It’s just far enough and close enough to all things we needed and wanted. Madison IN is a MUST for those that love the old town feel. It’s gorgeous. The cabin was clean, cozy, pet friendly, and more than enough for 2 of us. Will need to bring the family back. Rosie was an amazing lady. It was like seeing a friend I’ve known for years, or visiting my momma. She was planting her garden on the property, and it just felt like we were visiting family. Super sweet lady. We just can’t wait to come back to the area and stay with Rosie.

Warm and inviting

Bovard Lodge was well represented and met all of our expectations. Being able to take our dog along meant a great deal. We had the chance to meet the owner Rosemary who was personable and while we did not have any problems, I feel she would have been right on top of it. She wants her guests to enjoy the Lodge as much as she does.

Beautiful place to stay and relax! The pictures do not deceive! Just wish the loft ceiling was raised a bit, but one of our couples were short enough! Rosemary was very polite!

Very cozy and beautiful cabin. Could have used a little better bathroom cleaning in shower and needs dusting around lights but other than that, very clean. Dryer was broken and I was not told before traveling across the country. Was directed to a local laundromat. Owners communication was prompt but I am a southern girl and used to super nice and polite. Overall a good trip for the time that we were there.

Beautiful cabin with a great contact

We had a wonderful time getting together to celebrate my sister's engagement. This is a lovely cabin that is very well maintained. The rooms were larger than expected and the contact is very easy to reach and replies quickly to any questions. Would highly recommend a stay here!
