About this property

Peaceful Blue Ridge Mountain Retreat Near Marion, NC

Welcome to your private mountain retreat!

Nestled on 2.5 wooded acres in the gated community of Grandview Peaks, this immaculate two-bedroom, two-bath cabin offers the peace, privacy, and comfort you've been looking for. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, you'll enjoy the sounds of nature instead of traffic, making it the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and unwind.

Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a weekend with friends, this cozy mountain cabin has everything you need. Sip your morning coffee on the covered front porch while listening to the birds, enjoy dinner on the spacious deck with the electric grill and seating for six, then gather around the fire pit in the evening to roast marshmallows and make s'mores under the stars.

Families especially love the large backyard, which is perfect for kickball, cornhole, lawn games, or simply letting the kids run and play. Since this is the only home on the cul-de-sac, children can ride their bikes with very little traffic to worry about.

As our guest, you'll also enjoy the wonderful amenities of Grandview Peaks, including a scenic mountain lake with a swimming beach, fishing dock, beautiful waterfall, and miles of hiking trails just waiting to be explored.

Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen that's stocked with everything needed to prepare family favorites, bake a birthday cake, or simmer a pot of stew after a day of exploring the mountains. The comfortable living room features a cozy gas fireplace for chilly evenings, while mini-splits in each bedroom provide heat and air conditioning for a great night's sleep.

Sleeping arrangements include:

Primary bedroom with a queen bed and private en suite bathroom
First-floor guest bedroom with two twin beds
Upstairs loft with a twin trundle bed

Traveling with little ones? We've made that easier, too, with a Pack 'n Play, high chair, and baby gate available for your use.

The cabin is ideally located for exploring western North Carolina. Historic Marion is just 20 minutes away and hosts festivals and community events throughout much of the year. Outdoor adventures are all within easy driving distance, including Lake James, Catawba Falls, the Thermal Belt Rail Trail, Pisgah National Forest, Mount Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, and the magnificent Biltmore Estate in Asheville. Whether you're hiking, biking, boating, sightseeing, or simply relaxing, you'll find something for every member of the family.

Come experience the quiet beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where peaceful mornings, star-filled nights, and unforgettable memories are waiting.

Dave and I live in Decatur, Texas, but have always enjoyed the NC mountains. I was a camper in Hendersonville for our summers and attended Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa (just up the mountain from Marion). Dave took many youth trips from St. Petersburg, Florida, to Montreat.

Why they chose this property

We most like Grandview Peak's quiet surroundings - it is tranquil. Our cabin is on a cul-de-sac with no close neighbors...we like just relaxing on the porch or deck in the evenings and listening to nature.

What makes this property unique

We have no close neighbors, yet we live on a paved road and are not far from town.

Our cabin is kept immaculately clean by our housekeeper, Tonia and her two teen-age sons. They treat my place as their own - they have done since 2019!
