Trails End Cabin, Pet Friendly, Lake James Oasis

Secluded cabin in the woods located in Nebo, NC in close proximity to Lake James, known to be one of the most scenic and cleanest lakes in the Southeast. We have an awesome outdoor area to enjoy with fire pit to relax around. Property directly links to the OverMountain Victory Trail via stone staircase with access to hundreds of miles of beautiful hiking. We are best suited to sleep 4 but 6 is ok if you don't mind a sleeper sofa (its new). We are located 4 miles from the Linville Gorge, 2.2 miles from Lake James State Park, 1.2 miles from Fonta Flora Brewery at Whippoorwill, and 7 miles from Mica Town Brewery Nebo. Marion Lake Club is within about 5 miles if you love golf, they also have a very tasty bistro called Slices. Mountain bike, hike, swim, kayak or canoe at Lake James State Park. Rent a boat to enjoy Lake James. Unfortunately, our property does not have adequate space for you to bring your own boat.

The cabin was absolutely adorable. Stocked with all the necessary supplies, great fire pit area, trails right behind the house, comfortable lounge area and bedrooms, clean bathrooms, I loved it all.

We had a wonderful stay at Trails End Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we appreciate that we could bring our pup along. He had a great time sniffing all around the property! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the “sound” of complete silence at night! I highly recommend this host and property! We felt very welcomed and there were plenty of towels, blankets and toiletries for use. I can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic getaway!

We absolutely loved this quaint little cottage. It is tucked away providing the quiet and peaceful stay that allows you to reset. The proximity to the Fonta Flora brewery and Lake James was the best! Bonus- you can bring your pup which most places won’t allow.

Trails end cabin

Peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy with family or friends. If you travel with your dog this is a great place for a canine companion. It is convenient to Lake James and great options for hiking.

This is the perfect little mountain cottage. Very welcoming and pet friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property and trails. The fire pit is wonderful at night. The kids loved cutting open the persimmon seed we found in the yard to see what kind of winter it predicted!

Great place if you want to get away from it all, peace and quiet. We enjoyed hiking on the trails that can be joined right from the property. In the mornings we saw deer passing through, just behind the tree line. The place is clean, and the hosts clearly care about making your stay pleasant, with lots of nice little touches for you to discover.

Short getaway

The cabin in Nebo was great for my short getaway. We enjoyed relaxing in the backyard, taking morning hikes and paddle boarding at Lake James. Great stay!
