Mountain Experience at its best!! With a massive, panoramic view, LongView is a large and spacious log cabin (2,600 sq. ft.) that is rustic and offers luxury elegance. LongView is a newly renovated and professionally decorated mountain cabin. Set in the Banner Elk subdivision of Grey Fox, a gated community, LongView is conveniently located within 5 minutes of both Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain Ski Resorts with both offering fantastic year-round activities.

This cabin has a two-level wrap-around deck that offers numerous and various seating and dining. The decks provide a long and panoramic view of the beautiful mountains including the coveted Grandfather, Sugar, and Beech mountains.

As you enter LongView you will find a great room with a cathedral ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows offering incredible views of the mountains. Adjoining the great room is the kitchen and dining area. This living area has a large stone fireplace with gas logs and a brand new 60” Smart HDTV and Dish Satellite over the mantel. Comfortable leather furniture completes the space. The Master Bedroom is on the main level and comes with a King bed, 55” Smart HDTV and private bathroom. Also on the main level is a 1/2 bath, laundry room, and pantry.

Upstairs provides a loft with a queen bed and another master bedroom with a King bed, 55” Smart HDTV and private bathroom.

Downstairs offers another bedroom with a King bed and two bunk beds. This also adjoins a full bathroom. Downstairs also provides another large Den/Rec room furnished with a large, comfortable sectional sofa (great for watching movies or relaxing after a day on the slopes), and 60” Smart HDTV with Dish Satellite.

You’ll love LongView because of the fantastic panoramic views, beautiful decorations and rustic mountain feel, 3 king beds with accommodations for 12, four large screen TVs, dual family areas, two-level deck, and fire pit. LongView is good for couples, families (with kids), business travelers, and groups. Our place is close to mountains, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, hiking and biking trails, golf, restaurants, horseback riding, wineries, skiing, tubing, sledding, whitewater rafting, and more.

This is a perfect location for all the High Country has to offer. Whether you want to ski, hike or sit on the deck and enjoy the view, LongView is as good as it gets! Everything is new, clean and much attention has been given to every detail.

For large groups, one of our other properties, GrandView, is literally right next door!!!

The views were truly stunning and we enjoyed that part of the stay. A few things could be improved—such as the non-working hot tub and the need for updated pots and pans in the kitchen. We also would have appreciated knowing the trash rules beforehand, especially with Thanksgiving cooking. Families with small kids may find the space a bit challenging.

We absolutely loved our stay at this mountain cabin in Banner Elk. The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly tucked away for a peaceful mountain escape. The views were stunning, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the porch each morning with a cup of coffee.The location was ideal, quiet and secluded, yet close to everything. There were plenty of activities within a short drive, from outdoor adventures and wineries to downtown Banner Elk’s great restaurants and shops.The host was wonderful, quick to respond, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!

This is our second year at Longview. Everything is clean and well organized. The well equipped kitchen, large dining table , and deck dining make meals a breeze. Longview is a perfect place for extended families. We will be back!

Spring get away

Great weather, close to ski slopes, fun time. Perfect location for an amazing view. Loved Fred’s Mercantile nearby. We enjoyed seeing the many deer in the neighborhood. We loved the security of a gated community and the privacy of the area. The house is beautiful with comfortable beds, and gas logs were fantastic. We made some good memories.

Pretty, well appointed home. Our group of 11 enjoyed the two living spaces and the nice kitchen. Beautiful views from the porch! We got the snow we were hoping for, too! Dining room chairs and downstairs bunk beds were rickety, need some attention. Matresses on 3 king beds not in great shape. Overall, with a few tweaks, a very nice place to stay.
