Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!

North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including (Jackson Square (2.5 Miles), Caesar's Superdome/Smoothie King Center (1.3 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.5 Miles), and City Park (3.8 Miles).
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!

August in New Orleans means warm evenings, the smell of jasmine drifting through open windows, and a city that never runs out of reasons to stay out late. This Mid-City home gives you a comfortable base to return to - a fenced backyard to unwind in, a well-stocked kitchen to start your mornings right, and a neighborhood that feels genuinely local, not touristy.

Living space
The open-concept living area is bright and welcoming, with natural light moving through the home throughout the day. A 50" HDTV with Netflix and Hulu anchors the lounge, and a dedicated workspace with a door gives you a quiet corner for remote work or trip planning. Fast WiFi and an ethernet connection keep you reliably connected throughout your stay.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests comfortably, each made up with fresh bed linens and fitted with room-darkening shades for a restful night regardless of when you turn in. Hangers, closet storage, and ample space mean unpacking actually makes sense here.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to a full dinner - a Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove and oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher cover the essentials, while cooking basics, a baking sheet, dishes, and silverware mean you won't be hunting for anything. A drip coffee maker and coffee are provided, and wine glasses are on hand for evenings in. Pull up to the dining table for meals, or use the workspace if you need a quieter spot.

Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and plush towels - everything you need without having to pack it. Both include hot water and a bathtub, with a hair dryer and cleaning products also available.

Outdoor living
Step out to the private patio and fully fenced backyard - a real asset in summer. Morning coffee, evening drinks, or just somewhere for the dog to stretch out - the space works for all of it. The home is single-level with a private entrance, and free street parking is available right outside.

Family & extras
Traveling with little ones? A crib (mini, 38" x 24", sheets provided), pack 'n play with sheets, and a folding high chair with padding and harness are all available upon request. Babysitter recommendations are also on hand. In-unit washer and dryer, central air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, and a full suite of home safety features - smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit - round out the home. Exterior security cameras are present on the property.

Location
Mid-City puts you within blocks of the Canal Streetcar, close to City Park, Trader Joe's, the Superdome, and the French Quarter. The home sits near the Endymion parade route, and the surrounding calendar of events - from the Allstate Sugar Bowl and Twelfth Night through Krewe du Vieux and Mardi Gras Day - makes this a strong base whenever you visit.

Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
