This 2 bedroom home is ideal for a family looking for a beachy holiday. The spacious open plan living flows onto a generous multi-level deck, perfect for entertaining in the evening after a day at the beach. During the warmer months, set the bean bags out on the lawn for a relaxing afternoon with a good book and a glass of wine, or enjoy the outdoor bathtub with view over the lagoon and for privacy, there is a retractable privacy screen. Take advantage of the two serviced bikes! If you're heading away for a winter escape, the fireplace is an excellent addition for a comfortable and relaxing evening spent indoors.

The Kapiti coast is a bird watcher's paradise. Positioned close to Waimanu Lagoon, enjoy bird watching directly from the home or spend some time at Waikanae Estuary bird tours, located just 3 minutes drive away from the home. Waikanae beach is also just a short stroll away (just 2 minutes) for a day of fun in the sun, as well as Waikanae River, biking and walking trails. Or simply stay at home for the ultimate lazy day, with many relaxing spots around the property and views looking out towards the Lagoons.

Ideal location but

The property was in a lovely location with lagoon views and close to beach. However the property was rather rundown and a little disappointing for the price. More bach style than holiday home.

Beach Holiday in Retirement Haven

The house was great, the neighbourhood was less so. The property manager was excellent. The house was very clean. The house is near the beach and near the river. It’s in a very very quiet neighbourhood full of disapproving retired people. We were on tenterhooks the entire time in case our dogs or teenagers made too much noise. I wouldn’t recommend this property as being suitable for families or people with dogs unless your kids read books all day and your dogs sleep all day. The neighbours complained about the noise directly to the owner (the property manager was wonderful about it) It ruined the end of our holiday and we left early. We rented a different house in Waikanae Beach after lockdown last year ( 2 dogs, 2 teenagers, 2 adults) and had a fabulous experience (same excellent property manager).
