This was an excellent get-away, especially if you are wanting to be near the water. We found that the cabins were clean, well equipped in kitchen, both bathrooms and so relaxing. One point to watch out far, this property is on a slight hill with several steps. It is a challenge for anyone with mobility problems. Otherwise, very nice. The host was very helpful and hospitable when we spoke to him.

Lake D'arbonne Trip

We enjoyed the nice view of the lake from the main Cabin, with the huge glass windows and doors to look out of. The dock made it really easy to go fishing and return back to the cabin without having to repeatedly launch our boat. We caught fish off of the dock as well. Thanks for the great stay!

Great place to stay!!!With two bathrooms and a full kitchen this is the perfect place to stay to relax and fish. My husband and I had no issues finding the property, checking in and plenty of room inside and outside. Short walk to the boat we could keep on the dock for the entire 1.5 weeks we stayed. No internet and one TV but barely notice as we were too busy fishing! Had a way to contact the property manager and he even stopped in and checked on us. Will definitely be back!

The Best!

One of the most important things when finding a rental is the person you deal with while there. They make all the difference in how your stay will be. Our stay was a great experience because our person was great!! The home is just like the pictures, very welcoming. The view was wonderful to look at all day. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was fresh, clean and very comfortable. Go ahead and book your stay! You'll be leaving a great review here next 😉😊

No maintenance or upkeep on the property

The host Jerry is wonderful, easy to communicate with, and very helpful BUT this property is very run down and dirty. If you think you are going to fish on the dock or watch the sunset there - you are not. It has not been cleaned or touched in years, it is covered with spider webs and boards that look like they’ll cave in. Inside of the place is adorable but was filled with dog hair and rugs covered in dog pee. Every issue I brought to Jerry was dealt with as quickly as possible but he lives out of town and entrusts others to care for this property. I feel sorry for him honestly! It is run down and needs real TLC. I think it’s a great place for a group of men who are hunting or fishing who are fine with a place that “Looks clean”. The neighborhood is also not great. Abandoned trailers are all around this property.

The two cabins were just perfect. Plenty of space, plenty of sunlight and everything you would need including coffee and stuff. I will definitely be come back in the next few months.

Great vibe!

We live local but wanted to do something different for the weekend. We wanted the feel of a mini vacation without having to travel to far. This place is exactly what we needed. It was decorated to give you that vacation feeling. We enjoyed the breathe taking views of the lake and all of the changing colors of the trees across the lake. We watched a variety of birds in the area. Mr. Gerry checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was just perfect. I will have to say this one one of the best rental experiences we have ever had down to the accurate description of the place, the price, and the check in and out process.

Lake D'arbonne Dream

My wife and I stayed at this very comfortable retreat for several days recently. It provided a great view from the elevated deck overlooking Lake D'arbonne. Very serene and relaxing! The property provided all the amenities needed including a grill on the deck. A pet friendly getaway that we would not hesitate to go back to.. we greatly enjoyed "Daddys Money"

Amazing little getaway.

We will be coming back to stay here. This lake house was SOOOO cute and BIG.... and had a perfect view of the lake and pretty hills of beautiful trees. All you need is yourself and luggage. They provide everything else you need besides food. The kitchen and grill was perfect though. We loved the deck and the dock for fishing and tore some brim up. We can’t wait to go back and stay longer. Hopefully next time it’ll be better weather. It’s so homey and the owner is so nice! Our parents came to visit and we all enjoyed a good visit with some good grilled food.

Place to stay with a boat

It’s an inexpensive place to stay near D’Arbonne state park. It was clean and comfortable. When it’s really hot, the AC may not keep up. We enjoyed our stay. Gerry let us check in really early because no one was there.

Great getaway!

Such a charming place! It was perfect for a girls getaway with time for relaxing. The views of the lake were wonderful from the large back porch, the house, and the bedroom. Just the break we needed

Great place for a nice getaway. Plenty of room for 2 people with extra sleeping space for more. The houses were clean and had everything we needed. 2 bathrooms, very comfy bed and lots of outdoor space. There's a fire pit and outdoor games plus two patios, one on the front facing the lake that's not covered and one on the back that is covered. The owner checked in on us a few times to make sure we didn't need anything. Very quiet neighborhood and beautiful view of the lake. Quick 10 minutes into town if you need anything. I'd recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful get away from the big city. We don't fish, so I can't comment on the fishing, but the lake was very peaceful and we saw plenty of people fishing throughout the weekend. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Gerry for letting us stay.
