Casa De Norte is the perfect way to enjoy the indoor/outdoor lifestyle California is famous for!

-Poolside pergola offers a relaxing spot to enjoy the shaded outdoors & is accessible via sunroom, master bedroom & bunk bedroom.
-If you’d rather soak up some sun there’s 2 loungers ready for relaxing along with a dining table & umbrella for an al fresco lunch.
-Grab a book from the game room bookshelves & head out to the Queen bedroom hammock (one of our favorite spots) to enjoy a nap surrounded by the hillside & bird song.
-Binge your favorite shows from the sunroom sofa while easily keeping an eye & ear on those in the pool through many patio doors/windows. The Roku streaming devices make it easy to sign into your streaming accounts or home cable network.

*Pool towels are provided & the pergola coffee table holds a revolving selection of children's toys, arm floats, etc.

----NOTE----
*Door alarms are installed on bunk bedroom & sunroom patio doors to help prevent littles from accessing pool area without supervision (these can be switch off if u prefer). The bunk room patio door also has a childproof deadbolt system & the front door has a sliding child safety lock.

*Beach sand has a habit of clogging the pool filter so we kindly ask you make sure to rinse any toys out after the beach :)

While health & safety has always been a top priority at Casa De Norte - we want to let you know about the updated policies enacted to help ensure everyone remains as safe as possible.
•All commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected. In addition, the permitting soft surface items will be sanitized and/or swapped between guests.
•24 hour minimum buffer between guests.
•To ensure the cleaning staff have enough time to complete all the necessary tasks we have been asked not to make changes to check in/out times.

NOTE: We try to maintain a strict quality standard by replacing damaged or worn items as soon as they come to our attention. However, the new reality we find ourselves in means that previously retired item may be put back in rotation. We kindly ask for your patience during this period of adjustment.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Ensure BBQ grates have been scrubbed down after use. Check Propane tank is OFF & Replace cover once fully cooled.
Dispose of any perishable food/drinks & take kitchen trash out to outdoor receptacles.
Turn off HVAC
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
OPTIONAL POOL HEATING (Available at guest cost): Total supplied 2 weeks before when weather forecast is known.
Local Quiet Hour Mandate: 10pm-8am (year round)

Fun, family-friendly place. We had a wonderful stay (2 adults, one elementary school kiddo). Hosts were very responsive. Heated spa and pool were a blast. Beautiful sunsets. Well stocked kitchen ware and utensils, near grocery stores. You will need a car for this location.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The house was perfect for our family, especially with the added safety features for the pool area. We loved spending time together, swimming and cooking on the great grill. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked, which was a huge plus for my son, who loves to cook. The beautiful outdoor space with a pool, spa, and fire pit was a favorite spot for everyone. The owners were helpful when checking in. We would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay there again!

Short getaway for family

My family and I had an amazing four days away at this property. It was like a small little compound which was perfect to escape home for a few days while still abiding by the quarantine rules. The hosts were terrific and super responsive when we had a question about the hot tub. I highly recommend this place.

The home was very clean and featured attractive landscaping. The pool was well-maintained and provided a relaxing retreat each day—definitely a highlight of our stay. While heating the pool came at a high cost, it was essential given the time of year. The surrounding neighborhood could use some upkeep, but it was quiet and peaceful throughout our visit. We had a great family trip to San Diego! We had a group of all ages from 11. Check in was easy. Host was there to help us with use of the spa equipment.Everyone had a wonderful time in the spa/pool. Great place to relax!

Stayed at the property while our daughter recovered from surgery. The pool area and sunroom are great places to relax as a family and we felt very at home during the stay. The owners were very easy to communicate with and even dropped by to give us the lighter for the fire pit after we could not locate one in the house.

This is a very, very nice house. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Just me and my husband so we enjoyed the quiet and peace. Jessica and Justin were very accommodating. Just like a big lake house. Very comfortable. The roads to get here are a little tight and uphill but the place feels like an oasis when we got there.

Visiting Family In Escondido

I stayed here with my wife, mom, aunt, and 2 year old son. The layout of the home was really great for my family, and the safety alarms on the doors were super helpful for my young child. The rooms were comfortable and clean, overall a success. The pool was expensive to heat (we stayed in October) but it was really lovely. Views from the deck were great, an awesome outside hangout. We stocked up on bottled water and foods. There are some random leftovers from prior guests. It was convenient to where we were visiting family members, but was an expensive stay.

Family Time

Casa De Norte and hosts,Jess and Justin, exceeded our expectations. We were in San Diego to celebrate a 13th birthday with sun, baseball, and adult decompression time. Casa De Norte accomplished all of that. Everyone slept well in comfy beds. Meals were easy to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. We made family memories in the pool and at the pool table. Morning sunrise and evening sunset views from the living room and outdoor space were medicine for the soul! Jess and Justin, thank you for your perfect balance of availability and privacy.

Casa De Norte

The house, although a little dated was well equipped for a great family vacation. Our grandkids loved the pool. The house is located close to Walmart, Target and Stater Bros making groceries easy to pick up. Jessica and Justin were quick to help with a couple of questions. Loved that everything labeled and notes around the house to explain how to use things. It took the guess work finding the way things worked. Thanks for a great Holiday Home

This hillside home has everything you could need. The home and decorations are spectacular. You feel at home immediately!! All the outdoor patios are lovely and access to all outdoor areas are convenient with private areas as well. the hot tub and pool are amazing. The sun in the afternoon with cool breezes was very refreshing. We loved playing pool and gathering in the family room. The outdoor speakers are a great touch. The fire pit at night is warm and convenient to use. We couldn't have asked for abetter place to stay!!! Loved the streaming for TV use.

Nice getaway

Great place to escape the Phoenix heat. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Pool was great. Our only complaint was the nest thermostat. We like it cool and it kept resetting to a temp that was too hot us. Overall excellent place. We would definitely book again.

Backyard Paradise!

Had such a great stay at this beautiful property. The pool and hot tub are almost too good to be true, well at least for a Midwesterner (great temperature!) Hosts were kind and communicative. Easy to travel to neighboring beaches, SD, etc.

We remodeling what is now 'Casa De Norte' over the years as time & money allowed. When done it had become a special hideaway among our busy area of the world. Upon starting a new project we felt others might enjoy using CDN as home base & our rental journey began!

When we're not remodeling the house next door we're usually on another job site... Justin owns a termite company & Jessica works as a decorative finish painter.

Why they chose this property

Soaking in the salt-water spa while enjoying the stunning displays of color & beauty the sunsets bring to the hillside. One of my personal favorites is taking a nap in the hammock off the backside of the house surrounded by the hillside, birds, and butterflies - it feels so secluded it's hard to believe you're in a major metropolitan area.

What makes this property unique

-Salt-water pool and spa leave your skin baby soft while preventing the common swimsuit bleaching & eye sting that comes with other pools. burning eyes & bleached swimsuits.

-Sunset views across the hillside (especially in the fall and spring).

-Hillside location allowing for completely private hammock naps surrounding by singing birds and beauty.

-Sunroom's multiple patio doors, windows, and attached pergola. Making it convenient for watching littles in the pool without baking in the sun.
