The Uvalde Side - Whiskey Mountain Duplex - Great Location!

My place is close to Garner State Park (3 Miles), Lost Maples Park, Frio River, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, & Uvalde. The famous three sisters (best driving roads in the USA) You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night.
Sleeps 4-6 – Each cabin offers a queen size bed, two twin beds, a couch and a queen air mattress. Also a fully stocked kitchen, shower,  and BBQ grill, heat & air on each side.  Each side reserved separately.  It also has a large covered front porch.
This cabin includes the following:
Fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, cookware, dishes, and utensils to prepare meals.
BBQ pit and picnic table with grilling utensils.
Covered front porch with patio furniture to sit, chit chat, read or just do absolutely nothing but enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country views!
Each bed has a quilt, pillow(s) and a mattress protector.  You must BRING your own Towels, Sheets, & Pillowcases (2 Queens & 2 Twins).
Free Wi-Fi - Country Wifi is for basic texting b/c phone service is not always great. It is not intended for working or downloading music/movies.

  This cabin does NOT include the following:
Trash bags, zip lock bags, & Paper Products-*** but we do supply you with ONE of the following to get you started: toilet paper, paper towel roll, trash bag, coffee, & sugar.

Great cabin for a Frio River trip

We enjoyed our stay at Whiskey Hill. The cabin provided a nice option to get away, instead of being stuck in a hotel. It is right off the highway, but has lots of trees around it, providing a country feel. We will definitely be coming back !

Our first trip to Leakey. Booked a site close to Garner State Park. This was a cute cabin. We would have liked to be closer to the park. It wasn’t really a long drive but will probably book closer next time. The directions

Great place to stay for a perfect vacation

My family had a great 4 day stay in the cabin. The cabin has everything you need and very clean. The place is quiet and has a nice nature view. The area is minutes drive to Garner State Park. The property manager can easily be contacted anytime. We'll definitely comeback to stay on this cabin and will recommend to our families and friends.

I booked 2 days at the Uvalde side of the duplex. It was a spontaneous trip, and I was relieved at how easy it was to book our stay. It was my first time using VRBO, so I was a little hesitant…but everything went great! The property was beautiful! We loved the cozy feel. The property was close to Garner State Park, which was a plus for us. The host was very precise/clear with the check-in and check-out procedures. Everything was detailed and upfront- I didn’t have to reach out to ask any questions.

Wonderful place to get away and be with family.

This was a perfect way for us to get away and spend time with our family. The cabin was clean and neat. The check-in and check-out instructions were so easy to follow. The best part about these accommodations would have to be the great job they did communicating with us all along the way. Fun Father's Day at the Frio!

We had a wonderful stay at Whiskey Mountain Inn for Father's Day Weekend. Accommodations we great! The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Communication from Cassie was great! She answered all of our questions promptly. Whiskey Mountain Inn is just a short distance from Garner State Park where we spent our days enjoying the river. We will definitely be back!

Family getaway

This is the first time we have used Vrbo to book a stay and our first visit to Garner State Park. We loved the location, drive to the Park was a short distance, and general store on site was an added plus. The accomadation were AWESOME. We spent it with our children and grandchildren. Best time ever! We definately want to come back and stay at the Inn. Thank you for making our family memories an experience we won't forget.

My name is Cassie Hurles, I have always lived in Texas (Dallas & Houston Areas) and all my summers were spent at the Frio River area. I met my husband, Darren (Daz) in 2001 while he was working here in the states. He moved here from Scotland in 2001. We then had our son, Connor in February 2004 and our daughter, Isla in May 2008. The first time I took my husband to the Frio River he fell in love and we kept the family tradition going with our kids, making it a must every year. Then we moved to the beautiful Texas Hill Country in April 2015 & bought Whiskey Mountain Inn on July 22, 2016. We are looking forward to this new adventure.

What makes this property unique

Only 2 miles - There is Happy Hollow tube rentals & shuttle. You take a right out of property & You park there and they shuttle you for tubing.
Only 2 miles - The Washbarn is open 24 hrs - 7 Days a week, you take a left out of the property & it is on the right.
1/2 mile to Buckhorn Bar & Grill
For your convenience, there is a binder in the cabin with a map of all river access and parking details.
