About this property

The Leakey side - Whiskey Mountain Duplex - Great Location!

My place is close to Garner State Park (3 Miles), Lost Maples Park, Frio River, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, & Uvalde. The famous three sisters (best driving roads in the USA) You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night.
Sleeps 5-6 – Each cabin offers a queen size bed, two twin beds, a couch, & a queen air mattress, full kitchen, full bath/shower,  and BBQ grill, heat & air on each side.  Each side reserved separately.  It also has a large covered front porch.
This cabin includes the following:
Fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, cookware, dishes and utensils to prepare meals.
BBQ pit and picnic table with grilling utensils.
Covered front porch with patio furniture to sit, chit chat, read or just do absolutely nothing but enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country views!
Each bed has a quilt, pillow(s) and a mattress protector.  You must BRING your own Towels, Sheets, & Pillowcases (2 Queens & 2 Twins).
Free Wi-Fi - Country Wifi is for basic texting b/c phone service is not always great. It is not intended for working or downloading music/movies.
Satellite T.V.
  This cabin does NOT include the following:
Trash bags, zip lock bags, & Paper Products-*** but we do supply you with ONE of the following: toilet paper, paper towel roll, trash bag, coffee, & sugar.

Great location with rustic charm. The well‑stocked kitchen made cooking easy, and nights were dark and quiet. Beds were meh, and the window unit was loud (light sleepers take note), but shutting it off at night worked fine. Our sleeping bags kept us warm, and the cabin reheated quickly each morning. We'd absolutely stay again. Rustic charm outweighs the quirks.

Thank you for the good, honest review. We have a brand new air conditioner in this cabin and have not received any complaints of it being loud, but will certainly look into. We do provide an extra blanket in closet as well as on the beds :) We hope you utilized them as well. This cabin and the facility is a GEM ! Right in the middle of every reason you want to visit the area. The cabin is a true definition of Glamping ! Everything you need to enjoy the time. We loved the decor, and the setup. And our dog loved it ! No Problems at all. This is our go to for the Hill country now. Thank you !

Weekend boys trip

The cabin was a perfect size for us 3 and I was impressed with the amount of kitchen accessories there were. I’m a big cooker so I brought my own stuff but didn’t need it. We spent both days at Garner, which was very close, and spent the night cooking with a fire.

My name is Cassie Hurles, I have always lived in Texas (Dallas & Houston Areas) and all my summers were spent at the Frio River area. I met my husband, Darren (Daz) in 2001 while he was working here in the states. He moved here from Scotland in 2001. We then had our son, Connor in February 2004 and our daughter, Isla in May 2008. The first time I took my husband to the Frio River he fell in love and we kept the family tradition going with our kids, making it a must every year. Then we moved to the beautiful Texas Hill Country in April 2015 & bought Whiskey Mountain Inn on July 22, 2016. We are looking forward to this new adventure.

Only 2 miles - There is Happy Hollow tube rentals & shuttle. You take a right out of property & You park there and they shuttle you for tubing.
Only 2 miles - The Washbarn is open 24 hrs - 7 Days a week, you take a left out of the property & it is on the right.
1/2 mile to Buckhorn Bar & Grill
For your convenience, there is a binder in the cabin with a map of all river access and parking details.
