The apartment is located in a historic building in a little side street called Vicolo della Notte, just off the main shopping street, Via Nazionale. The area is closed to traffic for most of the day and the apartment is quiet and yet all the restaurants, elegant boutiques, shops and cafes are within walking distance. The owner's family antiques business is just across the road. The apartment Iooks out over the street and the typical 15th century buildings of Cortona.

Parking is available at the Spirito Santo car park just outside the city walls and an escalator swiftly brings you up to the historic centre of Cortona. The apartment has free Wi-Fi and can sleep 5 people.

Air-conditioning is included in the price.

Heating (when necessary) is 30 Euros extra per day to pay the owner in cash on arrival.

The apartment is located on the 1st floor (no elevator) and is both comfortable and well-furnished with Italian antiques, There are about 10 steps leading up to the property on the first floor. The staircase is about 90 cm (3 feet wide).

It has a large sitting room with satellite television and original stone decorative fireplace, comfortable seating area with armchairs and a sofa bed (120 cm wide) and a dining area.

There is a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. There are 2 double bedrooms (one with double bed and one with 2 single beds which can be pushed together to make a double). There is a laundry room on the ground floor with washing-machine, iron and board etc.

The 2 bathrooms are spacious and one has a bathtub as well as separate shower.

It is well-located for visiting other towns in Tuscany and Umbria such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Assisi and Perugia. Other ancient hilltop towns such as Montepulciano, Montalcini, Pienza, Rapolano and Bagno Vignoni are easily accessible.

The railway station at Camucia is less than 3 kms away.

Fast motorways connect you easily with Florence, Rome and Naples.
