Three generations of my family, ten of us, spent Mardi Gras in Mobile at this house. It was ideally situated to go to the parades downtown and to visit sites in the western part of Mobile. The house has two living areas, each with eating and sitting areas. Two bedrooms on each floor made it easy for our family to find space that worked for them. The TVs in each room and the downstairs sitting room were also convenient. The bedrooms are big and cozy, and each has a bathroom. It also had plenty of parking.
No hundred-year-old house which has gone through multiple renovations is perfect. But we were not looking for perfection. We wanted a place for the ten of us to gather for meals, make plans for the day, and then decompress after that day, and this house served us well. We could even play a flag football game in the big backyard.
All in all, it was a great trip and fulfilled our needs.
The place was very good. Backyard could be a little cleaner.
It was very good.
Thank you

Get some decent mattresses
Worst rental property I have ever stayed in. I had to initiate all contact with owner to get check in and check out info. Check in info came 28 minutes before check in time. It is indeed a 100 year old house……in desperate need of sincere tlc. Two bathrooms’ floors were not well cleaned. Never found a coffee pot. Downstairs hall bath has only partial wall separating bathroom from hallway and main living area. Many of interior door will not close. Missing bedroom doorknob, no doorknob or latch on a bathroom, doorknob on another bathroom wouldn’t stay together (nearly had someone trapped in bathroom), sliding doors that won’t stay open or closed. None of the 5 mattresses were comfortable enough for a decent night’s rest. Half of our guests left after the first night. Several mattresses are simply worn out and the others are very poor quality. We got very little sleep during our 2 night stay. Property located across side street from a busy 24 hr gas station/convenience store with a lot of customers’ pounding audio systems. Not quaint, not comfortable.

Check in instructions/code is sent at 3pm.Check in is anytime after 4pm.This usually frustrates a guest who is trying to not follow house rules and leads to a despairing review. It is important to note that reviews work both ways. I would never publicly leave a dispairing review for a disgruntled guest.Thank you for your feedback.Be well.
Nice house for over 100 years old and was very functional for our visit. Lots of very large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms! Only 2 had showers but we managed that easily. We were visiting for a family wedding and was a great location and place for our family to gather near the venue. The only con was road noise all night since on a very busy street. The rental host was extremely quick responding to us and very very accommodating. Would not hesitate staying here if want to close to happenings in downtown.
We had a sibling reunion here and the location was ideal(1/2 way between Texas and Florida) for us. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go - Downtown, Bellingrath Gardens, Fairhope.
We were able to spend quality time together with ease and comfort. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to use the firepit or outdoors much but we played lots of games together.
Danny was very helpful and easy to reach if needed.
We highly recommend his home for larger groups.

Nice...but
AC in LR went out possibly due to leak from roof. (Ceiling hung units for cooling) Not sure how house was heated if needed. Dutch oven inside oven half full of used grease. Large garbage bag in freezer with fish and shrimp frozen. No garbage bags available. Could have used some more towels. Fifth bed was a rollaway & had to be requested, yet advert led me to believe unit had 1 king and 4 queens. Would Love to know history of house. Take more pillows and blankets just in case
Unfortunately I did not actually have a chance to stay at this property. I was notified by the owner 30 minutes prior to my Check-in time that my reservation was cancelled. I booked this trip a week in advance and the owner had plenty of time to notify me prior to the day of my reservation. After driving 10 hours to Mobile, it was very disappointing to say the least. I would highly suggest booking somewhere else.

Unfortunately unforeseen emergencies do arise. This guest was notified as soon as possible and was given the option of staying at another one of my locations but declined.I did everything possible to facilitate a great stay.
Check in was easy and the house was big. It had everything we needed. Although we didn’t use it, the back yard had a great place for grilling and relaxing with your group. My wife and I, plus four girls, were very comfortable in this big house. We were only there for one night but enjoyed our time.
