We took advantage of everything - the hot tub, the gas fireplace on the deck, and walking on the private beach. Our favorite feature was the floor-to-ceiling windows giving as gorgeous views. We loved it and will definitely be back.

This house has outstanding views of the ocean. As said in previous posts, some of the windows have lost their seals. There is a washer and dryer out in a separate building by the garage. The gps takes you to a dead end road. You need to go back out to the main road by the bridge where there is a new road that leads to the property. Also, the pictures show a telescope which we could not find. The beds were very comfortable and there were additional roll away beds. There is a wine dispenser with 4 kinds of wine—complimentary! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. This was a very comfortable property for the 4 of us.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Surfscape! Views from the house are amazing, loved watching the ocean every day for the frequent whale sightings and the seals that occasionally came near shore. Loved the access to the beach, and could walk for quite a distance when the tides were low to explore the beautiful shoreline. Views from the hot tub were just amazing. One thing to note, there are two cottages on the property, Surfscape and Seamist, that share the driveway/parking and stairs that access the beach. The stairs from the other cottage pass right in front of the hot tub and house windows so not extremely private if you’re looking for complete privacy, but we had no issues with having neighbors very close by. House was a short drive into Bodega bay and some lovely restaurants. Beautiful spot for a relaxing, quiet stay if you want unobstructed views of the coast and direct beach access, which seems very rare in the area.

Beautiful property with beach access. Kitchen, though seemingly well appointed, could use some replacements, particularly for the nightly cost (pans have scratched teflon, no baking sheet, etc). Loved the complimentary bottle of Prosecco and the outdoor hot tub and fire pit were lovely!

Awsome view. Private access to beach. House well decorated. Complimentary wine in dispenser. Large TV with lots and lots of channels. Older house but much remodeling done. Cell service great. 3-4 miles to town. Quiet unless wave noise bothers you. Spa/patio deck not very private. Parking cramped especially for larger vehicles. Kitchen well appointed. Beds very large. Heat worked well. Living room fireplace just for ambiance not for heat. Would we stay there again? Quite possibly.

We loved it. Best place we ever stayed at. We'll book again for sure. This place is so dreamy, peaceful, and neat! The view was spectacular. Sleeping and waking up to the sound of waves crashing was so nice as well. I would have loved to stay there a couple more nights.

The views of the Sonoma coast are surreal - my wife and I stood speechless for 10 minutes after opening the door. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed for a two-night stay.Complimentary wine and a chilled bottle of prosecco were nice touches. The kitchen is well appointed just add food and your good to go.We ended up not going anywhere - everything we wanted in a Sonoma Coast vacation was right in front of us. Spectacular views, semi-private beach and a gracious host that kept us informed and was responsive.This property will be our first option when returning to Bodega Bay.

This was our fourth (maybe fifth!) stay at Surfscape, and we will definitely be back again, hopefully soon . The house sits right above the ocean, where the powerful waves crash against the rocks and create the most soothing, unforgettable sound. The fresh salty air, the ever-changing ocean views, and the mesmerizing sunsets can be enjoyed from inside the house or out on the deck…just magical. Fun to go down to the tide pools…practically your own private beach. Never disappoints, always gets better with Pierre’s extra touches! The stars at night are not to be missed. With little light from other sources the stars seem to be right on top of the house. Almost 200 degrees of view you can easily see the shooting star once in a while.

Great Birthday Weekend for my Wife

First of all, this place has the best views on the Sonoma Coast. The house was very clean and the owners made us feel welcome with a complimentary bottle of sparkling and fresh flowers on the counter. We had an excellent stay. We will definitely return in the future.

As pictured

The home was comfortable and the view is gorgeous and as-pictured. No issues with finding or parking at the property and although there were neighbors we rarely saw them and never heard them. Very relaxing stay for sure!
